I know some dogged investigative reporting has uncovered some serious stuff in this country over the years (Watergate comes to mind) but those guys were going for Pulitzers where Robertson is doing it out of, I don't know, hatred? Seems like there ought to be a bigger flash in life than being obsessed with a rival school.

Yes, it required rampant cheating to get Bo Wallace, who went 2-1 against State after Ole Miss outbid all of those Division II schools that made up the rest of his offers.

I think Mullen is a fine coach. Freeze is a fine coach - his first two winning seasons at Ole Miss with a roster no SEC team would trade for is the reason I think so. He went 10-2 at Arkansas State, which is one more regular season win than Gus Malzahn got there the next year and six wins more than they had the year before Freeze got the head job. He's not the greatest and he was too loyal to the mediocre assistants he had to hire when he got here when he could/should have upgraded greatly after 2014, but he's - objectively - pretty good.

I mean, let's say we acquired our talent by "rampant cheating" - did he ever have a better roster than Alabama? Did Saban just take those two weekends off in 2014 and 2015?

I know you probably hate Ole Miss and want them to get the death penalty (which we won't), but SEC Rant be crazy on the hatin'.

And, seriously, Ole Miss and State both went 5-7 in the regular season last year - nobody is dominant out of those 2.

There were a lot of D1 schools interested in Bo Walllace including us.

I look at it the same way you do. But I don't blame the guy for trying to stick it to rebels after reading some of the vitriol they spew at him

I'd have to think Robertson has received some serious threats on his well being since many of his prognostications have actually come to fruition.

I mean, he has shown the entire Rebel faithful that their Administration had lied to them at ever turn.

Just read some of the threats that are made on public forums like Twitter. I can only imagine the private crap he has to see.

This is from Ole Miss pay site

Think it was worse than what he heard when he was in prison?

Is the fact that they are wishing death upon a stranger more egregious than gtowncolonel's comma usage?

You're trying, big guy, but you're just not very good at trolling yet. There's potential, and I like to believe that one day you'll get it. But not today. Go practice on Facebook or some AARP site, then come back and try again

Oh wow. Ole miss fans are some deliverance type motherfrickers. Now I'm reminded of why I dislike them. "How dare they complain about us cheating all the time". Yep, typical ole miss right there. I feel sorry for you state fans having to deal with them on an everyday basis. It's about to get really good for yall though, if you know what I mean, lol.

I haven't been ashamed to admit that I participate on tRant for the sole purpose of reaping delicious rebel tears. When they meet their fate I'll fade away into the sunset

I just find it hilarious that ole miss fans honestly believe that theyre just doing what everyone else does but they are the fall guy. They're so stupid. They're going to get hammered...like Gallagher hammered, and they're the watermelon.

Pretty shitty to threaten or wish harm on people.

Im sure someone could pull up some statements similar to that made on State boards in reference to an Ole Miss player, coach, fan, etc... Lets not pretend this is a one way street.

Sadly, I wouldn't even consider making that argument. I hate a-hole fans of all persuasion

Don't do that. You bring good discussion to the rant and that's an oddity these days.

Maybe interested, but I'm not sure he had a commitable offer until we dropped one. I seem to recall he was close to accepting a preferred walk-on offer to us until Mullen called the last week or so before JUCO signing day so we pulled the trigger.

Regardless, I don't think anyone would allege it took money to sign Bo Wallace - I mean, if the guy had cash he could have afforded a haircut years ago.
