I think he will be feeling the pressure after having 4 loses and another year of expectations out the door.

He has elevated Ole Miss to new heights and they dont care about the cheating. So no, he's in no danger of losing his job no matter how many games he loses this year.

he won't be on the hot seat, but I think a lot of Ole Miss fans will temper their expectations of him for sure.

and they still have LSU, Auburn, and A&M left to play. A 6-6 season is real possibility, and that would be a major disappointment for them considering their preseason expectations

Freeze is safe. Defensive staff will probably have some new faces next year if it really gets bad.

Funny how ole miss disappears after losing but will come back to defend a shitty cheating coach.

oh I know Freeze is safe this year. But he's got to change. It's become pretty clear Ole Miss isn't going anywhere until they develop a running game. And I think that has more to do with the defensive struggles than anything outside attrition and injuries they've suffered.

They are Ole Miss. 6-6 is good for that team. They bought one elite recruiting class which got them to a Sugar Bowl (and one miracle play away from Atlanta.)
Now they are simply regressing to the mean.

A lot of players bought and losing won't sit well with the big cigars

I would think it would have to be pretty bad for them to put him on a hot seat prior to knowing what the NCAA is going to drop on them. As long as he doesn't get an NCAA suspension then who would they get while on probation to sustain the program?

If he is the man of character he proclaims to be he'll lie on the bed he helped make. Giving OM the best chance of getting thru the probation period.

If they start throwing him under the bus though then OM knows what it needs to do to get less penalty.

have you ever seen a coach that wasn't fored after getting his school on probation? that's when you hire a fall guy like Lane Kiffin

Didn't even consider the sanctions issue but I just thought that OM having some recent success would not like to keep losing multiple games a year after expectations were set so high.
