He's obviously an exceptional talent, but, what portion of his production is him and how much is it about the surrounding talent not being as good as Alabama usually has on that side of the ball?

I argue it goes even more the other way. Since he’s far and away the best player on that front 7, he’s going to (and has) gotten most of the attention too. He’s gotten double teamed (even tripled teamed at times) quite a few times.

Not to mention held, choked and practically horse collared on every play.

If Bama loses and not in CFB playoff, curious to see if he opts out of Sugar Bowl?
If I were his parents, I'd tell him to sit it out. Lots of $ on table.

He's only a sophomore. He'll be back in 2022.

Why? He is a true sophomore. If you haven't noticed parents dont run the Tide like Cart Mcrys daddy did.

Sam Williams is the nations sack leader and is better than Will Anderson

Is 12.5 now somehow more than 14.5?

Will Anderson also has 30 more tackles and more than twice as many TFL, but sure, “Sam Williams is da best!”

He ain't gonna win, but if there was ever a year a defensive player should definitely win, it's this one.

Great player. I'll never understand how he let a true freshmen like Rueben Fatheree shut him down.

Go watch the tape. #76 shut him down.

0 sacks.
0 tfl.
1 solo tackle.
handful of assisted tackles.

Makes sense. Cause he didn't seem himself.

He truly is great. And, if you think the B1G country media influence isn't still a factor, look no further the Aidan Hutchinson jumping to the top of defensive players in the Heisman odds.

As a Senior, Hutchinson has managed 54 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 13 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three pass break-ups.

He is the biggest single game recency bias bump in recent history.

He has been the only life on the defense. True team leader, follow me type of kid. Most deserving of the field.

How does that work when your program is hyping two different players on its own team for Heisman? Doesn't that split the votes and frick both of the candidates?

No, it does as much to counter the other candidates if the message takes hold.

It's Bryce's to lose after last week's game winning drive.

Stroud trails Young in every area and doesn't play this weekend.

Anderson could bump him if he has the UM-tOSU Hutchinson type of game vs GA and enough voters haven't already cast their vote. The voters are prone to recency bias. But, in that scenario, it would be warranted.

I just hate how Hutchinson is even in the conversation compared to Anderson.
