If you like to use the “TEAM would be RECORD without PLAYER” argument. Then Will Anderson should have your vote. He arguably kept Bama out of the Outback Bowl this year

If so, kinda weird they'd be promoting two players, possibly splitting votes even if Anderson is the better player

He's obviously an exceptional talent, but, what portion of his production is him and how much is it about the surrounding talent not being as good as Alabama usually has on that side of the ball?

There is plenty of talent. The 3rd string SAM LB that is now starting is 5* TRF Dallas Turner. He has 5 sacks and has only started 5 games

I acknowledge the talent there. But you can't get the sack if somebody gets to the QB before you do. In the past, other players would have gotten some of those TFL's and sacks and lessened Anderson's numbers because of it.

It's not a defensive player award... people need to get over it already. Anderson will have plenty of awards to potentially collect.
Bryce leads the Heisman... deservedly so. His closest competition is sitting home Saturday and didn't even lead his team to their conference championship game.

This all day. As long as we keep it competitive, he has his usual 300 yds and 4-5 tds and isn't the reason Bama loses, he will win it by a country mile.
