Fun fact, in 1925 the top 7 teams turned down the rose bowl invite before bama finally accepted it and bama was considered somewhere between the 8th and 12th ranked team.
Fun fact: When you have no facts to back you up, you can make shite up.

Technically, the statement should be regarded as factual because I said it. Additional citation from a statement noted as factual by me is unnecessary, redundant, and mildly insulting.

That's why I said too many ifs and said 2009 was legit. But LSU had momentum, and had time to score twice. By the time we got the ball again after that botched call, LSU was deflated. Said deflation could have carried over into the subsequent loss to Ole Miss. That call had me swear off college football "for good" which didn't last as long as I thought! Regardless, there's a good chance LSU wins that game without Bama's help from the refs, and you know it.

Well, AU did start playing football a year before Alabama did and they won a National Championship first too.
1913 AU team (When counting retroactive championships like Alabama does)
1957 AU team (When going by the Poll Era)

Is that 57 in your name referencing the year Auburn claims a national championship without even going to a bowl game, or are you in your 60s?
Rabern57 is just a fricktard. Arguably the worst poster on this board.

That 2012 OSU team was lucky to even go 12-0. Played two ranked teams (#24 and #25). They struggled to beat two 3-9 teams in Cal and UAB at home. Also struggled to beat a 4-8 Indiana team at home. Beat another 5 unranked teams by an average of 7 points. I’m not so sure they would’ve gotten in over Alabama had they been eligible especially considering Bama beat the no.3 ranked team.

Yeah, except the top teams in the nation never accepted the invites and bama became a reliable fall back plan.

Rarely did one of the top teams play in those early rose bowls.
Anyway, to the OPs original question, I bama has 3 or 4 legit titles.
"The Rose Bowl committee extended an invitation to Clark Shaughnessy's Tulane team, but the school administration declined the offer because it felt the players were too small to compete with those of Washington."

I’m shocked that you’d be back after 51-14.
Shocked, I tell you.
