Is that extra win enough to say that Georgia had a better year despite the facts listed in my previous post
Not UGA's fault Auburn sucked. Otherwise we'd be comparing
west rotators
but UTk had a better year. UGA's was better than any of Botch's...and we fired the coach.

Is that something you really want to brag about? I think the Vols learned their lesson about firing a winning coach when they fired Phil

Yeah it was in the thread someone started yesterday asking who all has gotten into a fight at a football game. I'm sure he thought we were all going to be impressed

Love that gif. What makes it great is the DBs reaction. As he slides into the endzone he knows he's been beat and slams down his fist because he knows the pass was a good one - no way it wasn't caught, right?

Tennessee fans are really such pussies

Every one of us on this board would rip off your head and shite down your neck. Every single one, and if Jug was still here, he'd kick your arse and then pee on you.

Tennessee's collective splurging over having Top 4 SEC talent at a lot of positions is strange. I know it is has been a while, but you guys had this sort of talent (or better) for most of the years between 1960 and 2000.

Give us millennials a break old man, I was at UT from '10-'14. Didn't have shite to be excited about.

You are correct...UT should have played a tough opponent like Georgia Tech, instead of taking on a weak Big-12 opponent like Oklahoma.

FYP.
That said, I don't think you really truly get how bad it got with all the attrition and recruiting frick ups. It wasn't simply a matter of losing or mediocrity. We had teams that for a handful years were a top 70ish team on a good day. Yes, we had a few good players in that time frame but much like when a good non-power 5 team faces a power 5 team those few players didn't make up for 95% of the team being bad or downright dreadful.
Of course this is a return to normal program wise but when you haven't felt normal in quite some time and had 4 head coaches in 6 years (more if you count the interims) you lose the sense of what normal is -- especially when what you knew as normal was just 2 coaches in 30+ years. The long view is hard to take when it's your program that's going through it.
As a Tennessee fan I always knew that Alabama would return to prominence but I bet a lot of Alabama fans started to wonder if the program would ever get back to normal during the bad years and I know damn well y'all jumped for joy when you saw the ship being righted.
