I'll tell you what you need to do young whipper snapper. Call up Pete Carroll tell him to bring his hawks. At least you might have a chance.

Agree to disagree. And don't call me a moron. I've been following college football since you were a twinkle in your mama's eyes, fricktard.

Remember round one for Bama last year?

It'll be like that.

This is exactly right. It was painfully obvious that Alabama's defense was not built to defend spread HUNH teams at that time. He had actually already been recruiting for the change for Signing Day 2014. The Hightower and DePreist type LBs and Mount Cody DL were no longer effective. He needed CJ Mosley, Reggie Ragland, and Reuben Foster type LBs and Jonathan Allen type DLs.

Alabama's defense is night and day from then from a personnel standpoint in the front 7. Sometimes the spread HUNH teams give them some problems, but it's an offense designed to give the defense problems. You're going to have that. Anyone who compares this defense to 2013 or 2014 is stupid.

Clemson and tOSU should be a good game

OSU can't matchup against Clemson.

Clemson is going to steamroll OSU and expose the committee's stupid selection here.

Kiffin could be Washington's best friend. If he doesn't start doing the right thing by running the ball with our rb's instead of making Jalen the next Peyton, I could see Washington making us pay for it.

I watched the season opener in person. The Huskies could not run worth shite against a bad Rutgers team.

The problem against Alabama is that if you can't establish the run, you're dead.

Problem #2 is that the only way to run on Alabama is to have a mobile Quarterback. Browning is NOT mobile at all.

Okay. So what? Now they are. That defense also had a hard time with the deep pass. Didn't prevent them from getting SEC championships. That was my point. Y'all are basically claiming that the SEC was declining at that time.

Yeah I think the committee was in a bad spot. I think the semifinal should have been reversed. OSU/Wash (Which OSU would probably roll) and Clemson/BAMA (which would be a great semifinal) should have been the matchups. But who knows what the hell they were thinking. The problem for Ohio State is their QB is one dimensional and can't throw the ball. That's why I was a little perplexed that the playoff committee decided on them. They are supposed to select the most complete teams and OSU is basically a one-dimensional offense. Look for a rematch of last year's championship. Maybe that was the committee's plan all along.

This will be my first trip to Arizona. Where can I find the best nachos in town? I think this will be a fun game and hope nobody gets hurt. It's a shame we have to knock Bama out of the semis since they deserve to get to play in the title game. Here are my five reasons UW wins:

1. Jack "Cobra" Browning - He is the best player on the field, enough said on that. He has two years of college and four years of high school under his belt and he will do everything possible to win the game.

2. Offensive Line - They average a weight of 332 lbs across the line, they are ready to dominate the line of scrimmage. Addams, Bronte, Center, Jake Emptmankamp, The MacGary etc. These boys have the attitude and are ready to rumble.

3. Kawasaki - New Defensive Scheme and a new attitude. Every player has spoke out about the difference between the defense against Wazzu and Colorado, we will see a much improved defense on New Years.

4. Speed, Speed, Speed - This is the fastest UW team has been in a long time. John Ross IX, Charlie McClutchins, Tyler Rappe, Ben Ossai, Buttah Baker, Psalm "fire god" Wooching, Virta Vea etc. The newbies will be inexperienced but they and J R Threezy will bring something Bama haven't seen this year.. speed.

5. Time of Possession - I think UW can dominate the time of possession stat. The more they can shorten the game and keep their defense off of the field, the better chance they have to win the game.

I think UW wins rather easily, say 34-17?

Props on the quality troll-job. I needed a good chuckle this morning. Upvote delivered...

Ridiculous OP notwithstanding, UW is a lot like Ole Miss but better, so they have an outside chance. Saban having weeks to prepare and the athletic difference will be too much to overcome, though.

I'd love to see UW take the whole thing. Inexplicably always been a little bit of a fan.

Do like me and enjoy the beatdown. Alabama by 17 after Saban calls off the dogs. If not, well, how high does your calculator go?

Wrong. Jonathan Allen will be the best player on the field. Sorry. Browning may be fourth or fifth.

Washington is 100th out of 128 teams in plays per game. Ole Miss is 21st.

They're 92nd in pass attempts per game. Ole Miss is 10th.

They're 28th in passing yards per game. Ole Miss is 10th.

They pass the ball 44% of the time (82nd nationally). Ole Miss passes 55% of the time (15th).

Washington will run plays from under center. Ole Miss doesn't have an under-center formation in the playbook.

UW is like Ole Miss in that they are both FBS college football teams, but otherwise they're nowhere near similar.

Edited to add - Washington is much more of a pro set type of team and those don't usually to well against Alabama.

And if we use your reasoning, Ole Miss would destroy Washington. You can't be that fricking stupid to insinuate a team with 7 losses would compete against a team with one loss from another power 5. If we are talking early in the season, sure I get it, but not now.
