You are arguing that attendance can exceed tickets sold. You have it mixed up; tickets sold can exceed attendance.

We'll use the Alabama argument: having 93 percent capacity through three consecutive losing seasons is nothing to laugh at.

93% vs 99%.......

Yea sure same thing

It's obviously very lonely in the Big XII - 2 - 2 + 2. You're here a lot.

Bro you are having to go back to the Shula era when limping around from severe sanctions to troll us. That shite is hilarious and even funnier is that the Shula era of Bama football was better than the shite Texas has put out over the last few years. Go troll another team slick, one closer to your level.

Check stadium capacity against attendance.

Stadium Capacity 100,119

Notre Dame 102,315
UTEP 92,683
Iowa State 96,851
Baylor 97,822
West Virginia 96,367
TCU 99,065

That's not 98% BTW. Looks like it took Notre Dame to sell out your only home game of the 2016 season.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Having an attendance below capacity does not mean it wasn't a sellout.

So it's possible that the games in 2004 were sold out, but not everyone showed up.

Not likely because that is not the attendance standard, it's using tickets sold. Theoretical but not practical.

However, it is impossible to have higher attendance than tickets sold.

Even that's not true. Some schools count attendance under the "stadium capacity" figure. They count everyone that enters the stadium, including media, guests, etc. Tennessee does that, so their attendance number is often larger than the number of tickets that can be sold.

I will tell you, I was at the Florida-Bama game in 2005 when Prothro broke his leg and Bryant-Denny was not full.

That was pretty common

All right, fine, that is true.

So even counting tickets sold and all the mouth breathing concessions workers, Alabama only sold out one home game in 2004.

Why did you pick '99 as your exception but skipped '94, '96, '02, '05, and '08? All as good or better years. Is there some reference to this troll I'm not understanding?

Yes, the idea that no logic went into it

So the OP could call it a fluke. Mike Dubose beat Spurrier twice that season.

Bama has always used seating capacity as opposed to stadium capacity. So no need to worry about the concession stand.

I'm simply pointing out that "attendance" does not necessarily mean tickets sold. I have no idea if the games were sold out in 2004, and I honestly don't care.

Again, you are making my point. Alabama fans deny that only one home game out of seven was sold out in 2004, even in the face of facts.

Very, very aggy.

Honestly, who is denying it? I've seen multiple posters admit that Bama's attendance in 2004 was 98% of capacity.
