How many times do we have to say this?

Sports success of a prospective member are subordinate to the eyeballs they bring. We have enough “successful” programs that the SEC is a the clear leader in major sports.

It’s about the Benjamin’s now, and a program where their stadium becomes the 3rd largest city in the state on gameday is not bringing the cabbage.

The Big 10 is already sick of them, why do you think they would get along in the SEC? If y'all thought Missouri isn't a good cultural fit, you would despise Nebraska. And they genuinely think they are a blue blood program on the same tier as Bama

Likeliest schools to join the SEC are Oklahoma and Texas

The fact that anybody here still sees Texas as a viable addition is just beyond me. This isn't even about my admittedly biased viewpoint (even though I have a degree from the place).

They do NOTHING but water down the $, as the system works now. A&M brought the Texas subscriptions. Can't add them twice.

The only states that make sense at this point (geographically and financially) are Virginia (Va Tech) or North Carolina (NC State).

Nebraska is a National, Blue Blood, TV markets would be National but Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakota's, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

The one y'all will Bitch at me about is the other, Colorado State Univeristy, connected to Nebraska which is connected to Missouri. Gives us Denver, but gives all of us fans an amazing away game and they have an amazing stadium in an amazing location. Not every team has to be a juggernaut.

Nebraska and Missouri belong in the Big Ten or the Big 12. There is nothing Southeast about Missouri.

I'd be tried of losing to Mizzou if I was y'all too.

While I wont call Fayetteville totally southern, it shares more with the South than any part of Missouri. When you cross the border into Missouri you might as well be in Iowa or Nebraska.

Other than the Clintons what does Arkansas have to offer?

Only someone who has never been to the University of Nebraska would ask this question.

Most folks in Nebraska (the state) despise Nebraska. (the school) Unbridled entitlement on a scale that would shame even a Bear Bryant chest thumping Gump. Even as they slip into football irrelevance, unending cries of "we just need the right coach!" "When the wishbone comes back, we'll make them all pay!" "Osborne was a major Deity!"

The University of Nebraska: The "N" stands for "Nowledge".

Oh. So, like Georgia, then. Only they have titles in 1994, 1995, and 1997, which is a lot better than 1980.

I agree Nebraska doesn't belong in the SEC but they are a better brand than both Missouri and A&M. And the Hogs and Cocks, for that matter. All four relative newcomers.

The recruiting base for Nebraska sucks arse though. It's worse than Tennessee and we see how bad they suck. 14 in a row, bitches.

Some of the dumbest shite I’ve ever read. That is the Ozark region. It’s nowhere close culturally, or topographically with the farmlands of the Midwest. Mid Mo and Northern Mo. Absolutely

Nebraska ? Nebraska football has been
more lost and off the map than Tennessee
and a hell of a lot farther away.
