Why not move everything to Nashvegas?

Just following several threads and themes.
Vandy isn't serious about sports, so no real major geographical advantage for anyone.
It's relatively central for the conference. Venues and hotels aren't an issue. Most 30A 30K millionaires can afford to go there.
Seems like a logical option.

Ain't no way in holy hell forevermore that the ATL is giving up the football game. An hour from UGA campus

Vandy has a better athletic program than Aggy and their trophies are actually real.
Take a step down from your imaginary pedestal.

Nashville's a crime sewer these days and nothing to do there.

Ummmmmm.
This thread was about the conference championship venues and had nothing to do with "Aggy".
Go be stupid somewhere else.

As the crow flies....actually, it'll take you 2-2 1/2 hours to get there from Athens due to the 30mph moving parking lot that Atlanta freeways are famous for.

I prefer Nashville to ATL or Hoover.

Once the new Titans stadium is completed, it wouldn't shock me to be honest. Airport has been undergoing an expansion and renovation too. Basketball tournament is already under contract in Nashville through 2030. Baseball is still under contract in Hoover through next season and is "keeping its options open." Nashville also has a nice AAA park downtown.
Nashville makes sense for a lot of reasons but I'm still not overly confident they'll ever make the move. People hate change too much. The SECCG has been in ATL coming up on 30 years and same with baseball in Hoover.
That said, with all the talks about these super conferences, all of this may become moot in a few years

Bout like it is from Birmingham(SEC Office) to Tuscaloosa.

You are thinking of Atlanta. Nashville is growing and hell of lot safer than Atlanta or Birmingham. But you wouldn’t know as you are too broke to go to enjoy places like Nashville.

You horribly misspelled Atlanta. Not even close.

It should be automatic when they get a dome.
Makes way too much sense not to happen... oh wait, the SEC...

I like the Atlanta trip but yeah it would nice to see at least a bit of a rotation.
Would not surprise me to see the conference championship game and various tournaments get bid out once the SEC gets to 18 or 20 teams. Make more money that way.

Nashville sucks. I'm not going to pretend that Atlanta is some kind of glorious city, but Nashville is so devoid of character it feels like a Disney take on what "the south" should be.

Do you really think someone who's been in the conference for under 15 years should really have a say into where the Champ game should be? That's for founding members. This is why I hate bringing in new members.

Basketball tournament is sometimes played there.
Football is locked in to Atlanta until 2026. They have played there since 1992.
Baseball has been in Hoover since 1998, I think. I believe they also accept bids. Nashville, New Orleans, Memphis, and Jacksonville bid on getting a 5 year host in 2016, for 2017-2021. The contract was extended to Hoover through 2024. I’m assuming there will be a bid coming up soon for 2025-2030.

I'm pretty certain that the OP simply created this topic for discussion here and highly doubt he sent a petition to the SEC offices.

Just for baseball's sake, the head coaches have repeatedly voted to keep it in Hoover. They like the similarities with the park in Omaha.
