This thread was about the conference championship venues and had nothing to do with "Aggy".

You said Vandy isn't serious about sports. So as long as you're throwing stones around, Vandy has 2 baseball natties and a final four in MBB. A&M has 0 baseball natties and has never made it past the sweet sixteen. A&M only has 4 more conference titles than Vandy in football.

o all those that gave my post all those downvotes about Nashville being a crime sewer, well check this out.....

You can’t be serious suggesting Atlanta has less crime than Nashville. It’s a blue city in a blue State. Come on man.

Have the SECC game wherever you want. But Atlanta has a lower crime rate than Nashville, and it’s 3 or 4 times bigger. It has more hotels, more restaurants, and much cheaper and more accessible air travel. Atlanta has over 3 times as many living alumni from SEC schools. Atlanta is closer to Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Florida, and LSU than Nashville and those are the only fanbases that ever go to the SECCG.

Nashville is an overrated cheese fest.

Nashville's a crime sewer these days and nothing to do there.

So you don’t like any cities then. Got it.

All major cities are blue. It’s not an opinion, Nashville has a higher crime rate than Atlanta.

Does it need to be explained. Vandy doesn't have a big fan base, he was saying they would have less of an advantage than any other school.

What cities offer better options than Nashville?

Hoover, Alabama.

Also. Hoover has a self contained parking lot for all that attend. Don’t have to worry about walking to and from your car through dangerous city streets. Especially in these times. Nice park. Enough said.

Have you been to Nashville recently?

Yes

Thus my statement. They are working on that very thing because it is a big problem for them. Another 6-7 years, I could see it moving.

Baseball has been in Hoover since 1998, I think. I believe they also accept bids. Nashville, New Orleans, Memphis, and Jacksonville bid on getting a 5 year host in 2016, for 2017-2021. The contract was extended to Hoover through 2024. I’m assuming there will be a bid coming up soon for 2025-2030.

Yeah, its up for bid after next season. Hoover desperately wants to keep the game there and I dont blame them. They recently approved $15M in stadium improvements to do so.

From the article:
It’s important for the stadium to be able to meet the needs of the SEC because there are a host of cities that have tried to get the SEC Baseball Tournament moved to their cities, Dangel said. Having the tournament in Hoover has a significant impact on the economy through hotel stays and purchases at restaurants and retail stores, he said.

“That business is all but irreplaceable to us,” he said.
