The first-year Auburn starter is completing 67.1 percent of his passes and has been on a tear lately in Chip Lindsey’s offense. He continued his stretch of stellar performances in a 40-17 upset of then-No. 1 Georgia on Saturday. He threw for 214 yards on 16 of 23 passing and scored four touchdowns, including a 7-yard touchdown run.

quote:

Stidham was 14 of 15 for 197 yards and three touchdowns between the numbers to finish with a passer rating of 158.3 in those situations against the Bulldogs. More impressive were the decisions he made under pressure and while reading defenses before and after the snap. He noticed a blitz from the open field to his left in the second half, quickly reacted and threw a screen pass to Ryan Davis at the last possible moment as blockers set up against an empty defensive backfield.

quote:

Stidham has, by far, the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in SEC games (12 to 1) and his quarterback rating (173.7) in conference games is nearly 30 points higher than the second-best player in the SEC.

It's really Stidham and the rest at this point. Don't want to say I told you so, but.... I FREAKIN TOLD YA SO

He’ll tear up Iowa State’s secondary in the Outback Bowl.

Outback bowl? I'm pretty sure they'll be slotted for 10-3 UGA. You really think a NY6 would pick 10-3 UGA over a 9-3 Auburn that beat the brakes off of em?

He's a good decision maker with a live arm but his stats are misleading. He throws a lot of dump passes at the LOS edges to inflate his completion % and hits a few long balls that are better attributed to defensive miscues to inflate his yardage. Auburn has very little intermediate passing game. He also doesn't make plays with his legs (running and throwing on the scramble) as well as I hoped.

I do like him as a QB, but if he's the best then it's because the SEC is really down at the position.

None of what you stated is his fault. He's throwing pre-designed routes and his "dump" passes are perfectly leading the receiver every time. The lack of intermediate routes is on the coaches. He throws a freaking laser beam tight spiral to me. For a pocket QB he has decent feet.

Stidham

3rd string QB if at Ole Miss.

ETA:

Shae has been out for 3.5 weeks and is still 2nd in the conference in passing yards. Also still has 3rd most TD passes.

Outback might pick a 9-3 LSU over Auburn, and Auburn plays in the Belk Bowl.

Thought you were going into hiding you fricking liar. I hope you are actually watching a little football on your hiatus and learning something instead of posting lameass jokes across multiple boards.
