Kelly is not held to the same standard as Miles because LSU can’t pay his $60,000,000 buyout. It’s as simple as that.

What standard was Miles held to?

Because LSU knows they if they fire BK then they wont' be able to attract another top candidate.

If you're willing to write a $95m check, you'll attract EVERY top candidate.

But yeah, it's stupid to fire him now.

So, the delta between Saban leaving and what was added this offseason is 2 wins?

they need to prioritize QB first and keep getting getting as much defensive recruits at same time,

LSU has 2 Heisman winning QB’s with 2 different HC/OC’s in 5 years.

What year do you think this is?

$50,000,000.00

This is really the only reason. NIL costs provide even more protection for HCs with big $$$ contracts. Not enough cash to fire a HC with a golden parachute and really hope to keep bringing in or retain your own players of a high caliber

Standard? The dude got a ton of his wins vacated from the 2010s and was implicated in Title IX and sexual harassment allegations next to being incapable of coaching a modern competent offense. frick that dude.

Plus it's LSU, you're the only team in the state and your state is filled to the brim with elite future NFL talent despite its small size

AND

you can win a national title here, it's been done 3x since 2003 with 3 different head coaches. Like people can talk about Ole Miss and South Carolina and Arkansas and Mississippi State and maybe even Texas A&M and Auburn for that matter but no one who knows ball genuinely believes those schools are truly capable of winning a natty in the near future, I mean look at Ole Miss and Kiffin, they haven't even made a playoff yet.

LSU fans claim LSU was devoid of talent when Kelly arrived. That is false.

He had the most success with the remnants of O’s players.

His team last season with his players finished unranked.

Are you referring to Les or BK?

quote:

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU football coach Brian Kelly called the sexual harassment allegations made against assistant Frank Wilson and LSU "egregious" and "unfounded" in a news conference Wednesday. Kelly said a lawsuit has not been filed against Wilson and that his status as an assistant coach on the team has not changed. Wilson is LSU's running backs coach and associate head coach.

Brian Kelly had 21 wins vacated from his record as Notre Dame's head coach due to an academic misconduct scandal involving a student athletic trainer.

If only BK had appeared in a natty there.

Wait, you think that ND team with BK as the coach would have made the NC in a 12 team playoff?!?! Lolololol

Oh Sidewalk, bless your heart. There were teams that challenged Bama that year, ND wasn’t one of them.

Sure, why not?

2024 Notre Dame was bad enough to lose to a G5 and made it.

1 season in which they equaled the same regular season success 2 years after BK's final season there by finishing 5th in final CFP poll?

People need to pump the brakes on Notre Dame and Freeman until he does it a 2nd time.

Because like a blind man in an orgy, everyone is trying to feel there way thru things in the era of NIL.

Stupid question by a stupid person

2024 Notre Dame coached by Freeman would beat 2012 Notre Dame coached by BK by 2 TDs. People overlook G5 teams, no one over looks playoff or NC games except BK
