Why isn’t A&M embracing adding Texas
Not trying to troll but I can't figure it out. It's like getting to fight your middle school bully again after you've gained 18" and put on some muscle while all he did was get fat.
You can't possibly look at the two teams and think tu isn't going to get the shite kicked out of them, especially after they go through conference play. Tu better get their program in order and do it quickly
It has nothing to do with on the field. Texas A&M is not scared of them, and shouldn't be. But dealing with that toxic fanbase, toxic media, and even a toxic athletic department is a major annoyance that we have been able to ignore for a decade. It's been wonderful. And now that they realize that we significantly outsmarted them they want to follow? Screw that.

Then why are y’all so scared?
We're not. Just because you think someone is an a-hole doesn't mean that you're afraid of them.

If y’all are so much more important, why did the SEC leave y’all out of the discussion to add Texas?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Kirk Bohls, BS artist extraordinaire. Now that Texas is coming to the SEC you guys will become well acquainted with his slant that always breaks towards making Texas look good and everyone else look bad.
In other words, he's a Texas mouthpiece whose "reporting" should be taken with a massive boulder sized grain of salt.

Would you lay in bed with a rattlesnake?
No?
There you go.
No?
There you go.

If it’s a fact proven empirically that we are better in you in everything and always have been, then of course people are going to warm up to the prospect of a better representative of the state joining the conference.
You are so happy you can do this now. You've been waiting for some way to "officially" trash the Aggies. And you really weren't able to in a relevant way. But now you are puffed up and in the club. You're going to have to play well every week. This ain't the Big 12.

Before A&M to SEC, Texas was signing 32% of the blue chip players in the state of Texas while A&M was signing 11%. Those numbers today stand at Texas signing 20% while A&M has rose to 18%. After a decade of the SEC, A&M is still behind Texas in that state even though they have made significant gains.
Now... Texas will have the full weight of the SEC behind them in recruiting.

I’d love to reinstate our series with tu on Thanksgiving each year, but OOC. It should have been that way all along.
My fear is that the SEC will split, or the eastern teams will break off after a few years of dealing with tu. It’s just an inevitability once they join. There will be no more “family” in this league once they are here.

Meanwhile, you ags have made yourselves look real “rough tough, real stuff Texas a&m” this week with constant posts of this sentiment:
Pretty rich from Longhorn fans who signed up to post on an SEC message board after A&M joined the SEC, so you could do nothing but whine and bitch about "Aggy." For years.

A&M is using those recruits to go toe to toe with the best programs in college football, get in playoff contention, and finish in the top 5. Then sending those recruits to the NFL.
Texas is using theirs to be an also-ran in the Big 12, lose to mid-majors like Kansas, and sending the previously heralded recruits off to sell insurance in a crappy strip mall in Austin.
Coaching matters.

They are a cancer thru and thru and I don't want them screwing up the SEC like they did the SWC & Big 12
Something to consider and they are an arrogant bunch for sure. Texas will not dominate the SEC office, possibly one day on the field but I think the days of Texas being the coveted college to attend has lost it's appeal, for sure A&M has stepped up splitting the top level talent, may even be the team in Texas.
