So, no he wouldn't.

To be fair, both backs get a lot of their BIG runs late in the games (after softening up the opposing D with tough, violent, shorter runs)

So, maybe.

You do realize a Defensive player has won the Heisman (Charles Woodson)

Ware would have Trent's # if we ran him as much as ya'll run TR.

yeah not so much. He would need 120+ more carries than what TR had to reach 1580 yds.

Richardson is great so is Ball, Luck and Barkley could start for a handful of NFL teams right now. RG3 is insane too. Should be a close race.

Sure. You really think he will win it, seriously? What about PP? Suh?
It's obvious that it won't be given to a defensive player again. TM is a great player, and may even deserve it, but he won't win it. Like others in this thread need to do, come on out of fantasy land

As of now, RGIII and Ball deserve it. Luck shouldn't be in the discussion. Richardson would be 3rd on my list.

Didn't everybody have this same discussion when Ingram won the Heisman over the Stanford RB who had better numbers? Trent is the MVP of arguably the best team (LSU is 1a ALA is 1b). The kid deserves his hype and the Heisman.

He is a sophomore and was in the talk and some voters had him as their pick until the suspension. If he has a better year in 2012 yes he will be in the top 3 of the Heisman List. Mark my words.

I'll mark them, but should I also mark the words you said about him actually winning it, Peter Pan?

Woodson was "Slash". He dominated the game at WR, PR, and CB and he's team won the NC. That's why he won.

It's not like anyone is hating on TM winning it, in fact I think it would be cool. Problem is that it just isn't happening.

The Heisman isn't given to a player based on what they might do in the NFL.

It's also not based on how good the team the player plays for is. The Heisman is given to the best player. <- period

That is because Ingram didn't deserve it either.

THEORETICALLY

But the heisman is mostly BS. I was happy to see Mark win it, and I'm pulling for Trent, but if he doesn't, not a big deal to me.
