They don't want LSU to get credit for a quality loss, IMO.

Because this is an SEC message board?

We have seen this OU show over and over. Win weak Big 12, over matched in playoffs.
Only thing giving them a chance is SEC legend, Jalen.

#4 ranked team in all of college football. Runner-up Heisman QB who has won a national championship albeit at Alabama. Great tradition. One of the very best college football programs of all time. Made college playoffs last year. They have the resume and respect. Greatness awaits.
We'll talk about how GREAT they are IF they can beat LSU on Sat. Merry Christmas! Props to the Sooners. I love that covered wagon and the horses. Awesome! Here's your props!

Oklahoma is a damn fine team with exceptional players. It makes me so mad that everybody is overlooking this team and no one is talking about how great the Sooners are? You keep leaving this damn fine team out of every conversation. Oklahoma is a top ten team and deserves respect dammit.
"i'm gumby dammit.?

Land thieves football best described in NASCAR terms.
They took a worn out 1972 sooner schooner and dropped in used a high mileage Alabama engine. Engine is adequate but they still have the old wooden spoke wheels and will spin out in the turns.

How do you get people to still keep biting on this? It is a Christmas miracle I tell you.

silly Rant forum shite aside, I don't think there are any great teams this year. Ohio State is probably the most complete team offense and defense, but I won't be surprised if Clemson beats them, especially considering their qb is hobbled. Alabama fans can relate to that. Last year Clemson probably qualified as great. Alabama obviously was not because the defense wasn't good (and no, the offense didn't score tds though they moved the ball well). This year's Clemson team, though, is missing some of those key defensive players that made it so good. Oklahoma and LSU have great offenses but the defenses are lacking.

Because my momma taught me that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!
Actually, Jalen Hurts is a great young man. I wish him well in his future endeavors...starting on Sunday.
Merry Christmas and

(Found this thread when Googling OU LSU stories)
For the tldr crew, scroll down to the bottom...
Unless LSU overlooks OU, the final score won’t be close. I’m thinking 21 or more, easily. Out of all of our recent playoff teams, this year’s team has the best defense(still not where they need to be), but the worst offense. We’ve had several games where we’ve only scored 1 TD in the first half. This was going to be a rebuilding year (new OL, new QB, new DC), so it’s a miracle we’ve made it this far, or rather it shows how weak the Big XII is. I had hopes against LSU since Texas put up a good fight, but since then I’ve learned that wasn’t the same LSU defense on the field that day. Outside of the first several games of the season, we’ve looked pedestrian on the field. Baylor isn’t that good (many of their games decided by 7 or less, kinda like us) and we struggled against them twice. Hurts has turned into a turnover machine with zero accountability. Our defense is vastly improved(again, that’s not saying much) but they started having some of the same mental lapses as last year as this season went on. Perkins (#1 in sacks and QB hurries) and DTY (#2 in tackles) are huge losses for us. How huge? LSU could sit Burrow out (along with Clyde) and I still wouldn’t bet any money on my team winning. We’ve faced a few backup and third string QBs this year, and they all had good stats. Hell, Baylor’s third stringer rallied them into OT in the B12 Championship. And these were games where our 2 missing defenders DID play! Our backups at these positions are terrible, as proven by DTY playing in around 80% of all defensive snaps. Burrow could easily throw for 500+ in this game. Are these missing players the reason we will lose? NO!! I thought we might have a 20% chance to win prior to knowing who would miss the game. Now I’m somewhere between 1-5%. Anything can happen in a single game, but this game is the first playoff game that I can recall that might be the equivalent of a bye. Anything less than a 3 TD victory by LSU would be a surprise. However, if Sooner Magic happens and we spring the upset, I’ll buy tickets from those that already purchased Championship Game tix.
tldr: Nobody is talking about how great this Oklahoma team is because they simply aren’t a great team. Check back in 2021 for a great OU team. Veteran OL, Rattler at QB, stud WRs, and Grinch’s recruits seeing the field.

Injuries and suspensions aside what exactly is OUs defense lacking? It’s a very good Top 25 unit with probably the second best pass rush of the CFP teams behind Ohio state....it’s also 70% freshman and sophomores.
