Because the media has been kissing their arse all year long and they continue to win. That causes people to bet on them. Bama will role them and face Washington in the final.

because enough people keep putting enough money on Michigan to keep the line there.

And those people are most likely jilted Seminole fans and people upset with the playoff committee's choice betting with their emotions.

They are not in the prediction busines, they want 50% of money falling on each side of the line. That being said, markets, which Vegas represents, have highly predictive powers, so while the smart money may yet be outstanding the fact that the line has been stable since opening should tell us something about Michigan's relative quality, and I suspect, Bama's volatility.

If you went position group by position group, would Alabama have the advantage anywhere but secondary?

Alabama has one skill position player who's projected to be drafted in April. Michigan's quarterback is projected to be drafted in the first round in April.

Wow, Georgia got lucky, not having to play The Wolverines!

Wait..so you're telling me a school with one draftable player beat Ga up and down the field? Ga? A team with a billion 5* players on it? Must have been coaching then

Per ESPN Stats, Milroe has more passing yards, more rushing yards, higher per pass average, more TD's, and a higher QB rating.

ecause the SEC is down this year. I mean, Bama lost to the steers. Granted, week two but it still plays a part.

Yea. Can't believe they lost to a team that went to a mid tier bowl game.

Oh wait...

Maybe, just maybe, the school you're jealous of actually turned out pretty decent this year? Weird concept for someone with an inferiority complex as big as yours, I know

Michigan has been a more steady team this year. Pretty resilient bunch to not miss a beat vs Ohio State missing your head coach.

in other words... just like Georgia

Pretty much. Georgia choked. And it's embarrassing. Georgia had no business losing against this version of Alabama.

My guess is they think michigan has the athletes to keep milroes running controlled and he can't pass well enough. We'll find out In a couple weeks

The gumps secondary is gonna get all the press and ball washing in this game, but let me be as clear as I can be...if Milhoe thinks he's just gonna float turds all over the field and try to get a good read on our secondary all game, he's gonna throw multiple picks. Michigan has the most UNDERRATED secondary in the country, and it's chock full of seasoned BALL HAWKS, trust me.

Milho better hit the film room hard, because our base and nickel packages are outstanding...and very complex. You're gonna know by halftime if he has a head on his shoulders, or if Nick Satan is gonna have to relegate him to RB all game...if he chooses the later, we might be finding out how good the elephant's QB2 is, because Milhoe's gonna get hit hard. Who knows how much punishment he can take before he taps out...

Seems like this is the same story you were trying to sell on here the last time Meechigan was playing an SEC team in the playoffs

If a vacuum cleaner salesman has infiltrated your teams playbook, then your offensive coordinator & head coach need to be fired, for real...the gumps are going to try to use any excuse in the world after they get beat by Michigan, too.

I didn’t get to watch Michigan very much this season myself but from what little bit I did see I do not think Michigan has the same kind of sideline to sideline speed that most SEC schools have. That would be a huge problem for them if so because the Georgia defense let Milroe get outside on them and Milroe ran for over 100 yards. Georgia is second to none when it comes to speed on defense. If Michigan allows Milroe to do the same against them I can promise all of you that Michigan will not lose the game by 3 points when it’s all said and done.
