Well I'm glad you have such faith in Saban this year.

You don't think he's still thinking about:

- Kick-six against Auburn
- Loss against Oklahoma
- Loss against Ohio State

The pressure is immense this year for Saban to produce a championship. I fully expect him to abandon ship this season if Bama doesn't win it all. You can tell he is not happy anymore during his interviews.

I'm sure the team is looking toward the Charleston-Southern game.

I will guarantee you they have this game on their mind--as a hurdle to clear on the way to the natty.

No. He's thinking about State

Congrats on listing our three big losses. You know who has lost more? Every other team in the country.

Not trolling.

Did Bama not lose those games?

It's okay for everyone to call LSU "L5U", but I can't mention some of Bama's worst losses over the past 3 seasons?

Saban was talking about State in his post game presser. And again today. No one at Alabama is disrespecting State. I think they have a better chance of beating us than LSU did. That may go for Auburn as well. Odds of losing a 7pt favorite game (both LSU and State- 7pt dogs to us) are about 25% which means you lose 1 in 4. Those are crappy odds for a team with our schedule this year. I was sure we would lose 2 games this year and that's still highly possible.

Because State tends to beat the teams they're supposed to beat and tend to get bufu'd by the teams they're supposed to lose to.

What exactly do those losses have to do with Saturday?

I don't doubt that State can move the ball on Alabama. They don't run the ball unless it's Dak, and their short passing game with big receivers is hard to stop.

I don't know if they can stop Alabama enough, though. They have a decent defense, but not a good one.

Coker will likely have to play a poor game in order for State to win. He looked solid on the road against both Georgia and aTm, but Henry was fantastic in both of those games, and Georgia/aTm turned the ball over a zillion times.

I seriously doubt State has multiple turnovers, just because Dak has been so accurate and turnover free this season. However, can State stop the run? 68th this season in rushing defense. They might have to sell out against the run, and just hope Coker makes some mistakes.

I think State beats Alabama 2 out of 10 times in Starkville. We'll see if this Saturday is one of the two.

Redmond is hurt and I think Calhoun is beat up too. State's offensive line is in for a tough night after losing Rufus Warren. Their depth is as bad as OM's is behind their starters.

Just want to make sure you guys are ready for a huge letdown this weekend.

I know it's exciting to be within reach of another national championship. Bama had a great run from 2009-2012.

Unfortunately it's just tough to sustain that level of dominance for very long with one coach. Teams figure out your schemes. The target on your back is always the biggest because you've won so much.

Go read the thread on the Bama board. The fans aren't overlooking State.

Go listen to Saban's press conference. The coaches aren't overlooking State.

Go listen to player interviews. The players aren't overlooking state.

They get the ball out so quick. No doubt that Alabama defensive line will have an effect on the game, but I think it can be minimized against the offensive style that State plays.

Okay, well MSU lost to:

GT
Okie State
and a host of other teams regularly

Is this on Mullen's mind? Is it distracting him?
