What exactly do those losses have to do with Saturday?

Believe it or not, he's still very emotional following those losses. It's tough to go from 3 championships in 4 years to mediocrity for an extended period of time. The kick-six for Bama was just as damaging as 1/9 for LSU.

He's frustrated and shows it in his interviews. He is tired of the unrealistic Bama expectations that you should win a championship every season.

Like you said though they won't run the ball against Alabama and Alabama's dime and nickel packages feature safeties who're best in short to intermediate passing situations. Plus the defensive line bats those quick throws down more than any team I've seen recently.

Okay, well MSU lost to:

GT
Okie State
and a host of other teams regularly

Is this on Mullen's mind? Is it distracting him?

No - because Mullen isn't coaching Bama. MSU doesn't have nearly the same standards Bama does. Mullen has brought MSU back to relevance...

It's not impossible to run the football on Bama - you just have to use their strength against them in your play calling. Mullen and Freeze are two coaches that are the best at this in the SEC. They do an outstanding job utilizing their talent.

Dak Prescott is far and away the best QB in the SEC this year. I think he's the best QB in the country, and has the opportunity to be an average QB in the NFL, possibly above average if he improves his passing game. The potential is certainly there. Many compare him to Tebow - but he is much more talented and has a much higher ceiling.

Mullen and Freeze are two of the worst play callers in the SEC. You can't be serious. Mullen is an awful play caller and Freeze is almost equally bad.

State will keep it close until the second half.. Alabama is too physical on both sides of the ball

I don't expect it to be a super high-scoring game, either. It really never is when these two teams play, especially in Starkville.

Alabama defense will make plenty of plays, but I think Dak will make some too. I could see it being a one-possession game going into the 4th quarter, and then Alabama having a big drive to extend and win.

I'm not. Mittippi Tate always plays Bama tough.

Have you lost your damn mind !! Don't wish them Good Luck. They have a stable of 5 star athletes. If anything wish them Ole Miss Luck (5 turnovers).

I can assure you BAMA is not overlooking STATE. Vegas has BAMA as a 7 point favorite and after a big emotional win against LSU we have seen first hand how BAMA can be inconsistent the next week.

If Mullen and Freeze had 5*s at every position with 4* backups, you'd be surprised.

Bama backups would start at MSU.

The potential is certainly there. Many compare him to Tebow - but he is much more talented and has a much higher ceiling. He reminds me of Cam Newton at Auburn who is killing it in the NFL right now. It's just a matter of finding the right system and coach.

De'Runnya Wilson is a tall, physical WR - I expect him to have a huge game against Bama's undersized, weaker secondary. This guy is going to be another NFL great.

Unlike LSU, Mullen is going to make adjustments as the game progresses. He will look to keep Bama off-balance with the short passing game. Miss State will be much more successful running than LSU was.

State is dealing with a horrible tragedy this week, so they will be fired up and ready to play against Bama. This game has extra meaning with that young man's unfortunate passing.

Henry is a great player - but Bama will need to pass to win in Starkville. Does Bama trust in Coker to win a big game on the road for them?

The cowbells will be rining louder than ever Saturday. Good luck Bama.

Let's not use a players tragic death as a rallying point to get fired up. I despise when teams do that.

Who said they were? Where did you read that?

If you are basing this all on today's threads dumbass, it's pretty normal for a Monday. Especially after whoopin' LSU.

You're next, don't worry.

are they?

I mean I haven't been to Saban's office, the players dorms or any of the players meetings so I can't speak for the team as I'm sure you haven't either.

I'm pretty sure all you are seeing is a bunch of fans celebrating the win over a great team that was ranked number 2 going into the game.

This is the general attitude of Bama. You guys are in for a shock this week.

I'm sure you all felt the same way headed into the Ohio State game. "Oh it's a B1G school, this will be easy"

You were somewhat evenly matched with LSU.(but lost) Have you improved that much or has the competition been of a lesser quality?
