I'm fine with things as they are. It's just a very small, but vocal group of fans that are griping about it.

The real laugher will be if LSU cries enough to get 6-2 and Vandy and Kentucky roll on Bama's schedule while LSU plays UF and UGA one year.

I think they would do it so that you always have one top team from the other division and one weak team. BUT, even if what you're saying happened, I wouldn't complain a bit because at least then it would be a random situation and not an institutionalized advantage for one school over another.

UT is getting killed every year by Bama yet none are complaining about the schedule.

Have we heard much bitching out of the East besides spurier just not wanting the cross div. games to count towards divisional champs? The East is getting smashed

I pictured you following this up by stomping your foot and declaring "And that's a bazillion times unfair!"

I guess we will just ignore the examples of Miami, FSU, Stanford, Oregon, etc. that blow holes in your prediction.

I mean, you may turn out to be right, but it is pure speculation and nothing legitimate to base an argument on for changing the cd rival.

UT is not going to be down like Notre Dame. Notre Dame is stuck at a disadvantage for a number of reasons.

A.) Notre Dame isn't from the south.
B.) The South is a recruiting hotbed.
C.) Tennessee has just the same amount of tradition as Notre Dame.
D.) Tennessee doesn't have the same academic standards.
E.) Tennessee makes more money than Notre Dame

I don't understand why LSU is raising this issue now. It hasn't exactly been a hindrance to them in the last decade. They've still won two national championships and two SEC titles even in spite of playing those mean old gators every year.

Because our position on the matter is consistent irrespective of any particular season or group of season results.

es, it would be an orgy of confusion, but at least you can't complain about being forced to play or not play someone.

LSU can and will... 1/9?

Even if I'm wrong, and it switched to where UT was awesome and UF went through a long dry spell, I wouldn't want to continue that way either. I just want it to be a fair scheduling system so everybody plays everybody from the other division with the same frequency.

the Tide once again shows that it, along with Auburn, are the teams in the west that the rest are measured against when it comes to courage and valour.

OMFG.

Here is the list of killers that Alabama has had on its OOC slate since 2005:

Kent State
Penn State 9-4
North Texas
Geo. Southern
San Jose State
Penn State 7-6
Duke
Geo. State
V-Tech 10-3
Flor Int.
North Texas
Tenn.-Chatt.
Clemson
Tulane
West. KY
Ark. State
West Carolina
FSU 7(0)-6
Houston
ULM LOSS
Hawaii
ULM
Duke
Florida Int.
Mid. Tenn. State

This shite is embarrassing.. You have now proven that, indeed, 1/9 has broken you.. Maybe Les, too.. His "Damn Strong Football Team!" used to welcome all challengers.. It's like watching a proud relative wither away into a life of Soft food and Depend undergarments.. Sad..

It's CFB, it's cyclical. We know this, and are willing to take the licks now. USCe is emerging, UT and UF are down, and UGA is above average. UF and UT will once be back, and when they do, the East will probably be better than ever. I think UF is ahead of UT in terms of rebuilding, but we will see.

It's not like Bama pre-Saban at all.

If you split Bama's in-state talent in half (with Auburn being in state), its about the same level of in state talent UT has. If Kiffen had stayed at UT, they would be rolling in top 10 classes every year. Hell even Dooley is getting solid classes. UT is still a national brand with a 100k seat stadium. Recruiting is not their problem. Coaching is.

I don't disagree with that at all. But looking at how the opponents were set up, they were traditional rivals first, historic SEC teams second and also competitive based on how good the teams were in general (Yes I am trolling Ole Miss with that.)

Oh I wasn't saying you were wrong, just saying that it's unfair to us and A&M in travel time. I agree otherwise the way things are setup, if we HAVE to have permanent CD opponents.

Probably. UF didn't have to fall as far as Tennessee did.

No I think what someone like you would do is claim it was a pro-Bama conspiracy.
