I wouldn't care if you pulled against us, but I like the way you think. People don't realize how bad the world can be with Notre Dame on top. At least Bama, though arrogant and hyped, is a very good team. ND gets the same insane hype yet would likely finish 6th in the SEC (if not 7th). It's unbearable.
This argument doesn't make sense. If ND wins, the second to last sentence of your post is obviously wrong, making the first part of your post completely invalid.

At least with Alabama your team has a chance to beat the team the media hypes up. If the media gives Notre Dame the same kind of hype all you can do is listen and hope you play them in their bowl.

Clearly, you missed the point, focusing on the microcosm instead of the big picture.
But that's to be expected because you don't view Bama fans from the same viewpoint everyone else does.

Great example of the pseudo-intellectual Midwest.
There is no logical contradiction in the possibility of Notre Dame winning and being equal to the 6th or 7th best team in the SEC. That would only be contradictory if all teams played at a consistent level each week, and you could reliably expect the results of each game to reflect the relative strength of each team. Not only that, but matchups differ greatly among various teams, and some teams are built to play better than others against a common opponent.
All that being said, Notre Dame will not win.

First, let me be clear about something:
I hate you, Bama. I hate your entitled arrogance with every cell in my body.
Now that that's out of the way....please beat the living shite out of ND. It will be astronomically bad, in my mind, if ND wins this game. After all, they are as proudly entitled as you. And the media!!! Ha. Can you imagine watching sports news during the offseason and all through next year as we follow, week by week, the 'defending nat'l champs' run at another one?
Frick you, Alabama.
with love,

disgusting...just disgusting...sell-out is too nice of word for you.

please expand on this statement...
Am I a sellout for wanting Bama, whom I loathe, (and the SEC) to win, or not rooting for ND?

entitled arrogance
WTF does this really mean? We are entitled and are arrogant as a result? Or we are arrogant and entitled? Entitled to what?
I just like football. I was born in Tuscaloosa, so I pull for the Tide. I am sure that if I had been born in Bird Whistle, Louisiana, I would be an LSU fan. I like most of the teams in the SEC. Hell, I pull for LSU 364 days of the year. No one forces me to read the SECR, but lately it has been more ad hominem personal attacks (you spend all your time marrying your relatives and picking out a new trailer, etc.) than substance. "I effing hate (fill in the blank)" Damn, guys, save your hate for something worth hating, I dunno, evildoers or something.

If ND beats Alabama to finish the year 13-0, with wins over the SEC Champion, at Oklahoma and Stanford among others, any argument you make saying ND would be the 6th or 7th best team in the SEC is completely absurd.

Screw Bama and ND, Let it end in a tie !

You're pointing to a game you haven't won, a missed call in overtime victory at Stanford, and a nice win over a pretty good OU team to make your case. You ignore the fact that you survived close scares against Purdue and Pitt.
Notre Dame might win against any SEC team, but I can't honestly say that I would expect this Notre Dame team to finish above South Carolina, or beat South Carolina on the field, not to mention A&M, LSU, UGA, UF, or Bama. Usually I find the "7th best SEC team" arguments to be ridiculous, but I can't honestly say I think ND is better than USCe.

This whole hypothetical was if ND won Jan. 7.

And you ignore UF's close call against ULL (and mediocre performance against BGSU), A&M beating La Tech by two, USCe tied with Wofford at halftime (all of those teams have also lost one or two games)... good teams play poorly against bad competition sometimes. It's called college football.

This. The Big? and Pac? plus ND want to play one another and rely on their massive media footprint to dodge big bowl matchups with the rest of the country. They want their Doze Bowl back and have been dragged kicking and screaming to the playoff scenario. Another title for Bama might be a slight blow to LSU recruiting but The Streak trumps all other considerations.

That's a pretty sick analysis.
Since you're dropping numbers and stats and shite how about you help your boy out and let me know the Bama vs ND all time record of dominance? I'm sure you know it, I figured it'd be quicker for you to post it than for me to google.
TIA friend.

I understand what you're saying and I believe you. But if I get tired of hearing all offseason how "Notre Dame is BACK" and how hyped they'll be for next year, I can just change the channel on the TV. I live in alabama and know many bama fans, and see them and interact with them on a daily basis. I can't just change the channel then.
Also, I would rather hear "notre dame is back" than "bama's won 3 of 4 national titles. Can anyone stop bama? Is saban the greatest ever?"
Plus, UGA doesn't recruit against notre dame. We recruit VERY heavily against bama. Malcolm Mitchell, Xavier Dickson, Jay Rome, Crowell, Jordan Jenkins, etc. just from LAST year came down to UGA and bama. There are 5 or 6 more battles this year coming down to the 2 of us. Bama winning is detrimental to UGA. Notre dame isn't.
Dude all the recruits already know Alabama is a championship caliber program. Whether Alabama wins or loses that game Alabama will still be seen as an elite program. Kids that want to play at UGA will still go play at UGA regardless of who wins.

Don't Bama don't need No help and likely don't want any, save the powder.

I really don't even care who wins.
Just hope it's a good game because those have been hard to come by in the BCS era.
