When I went to the bama game on nov. 5, I was talking to some bammers about their mascot and they told me they didn't really like it. I then suggested that their alumni or school should get an elephant and enclosure. They said that having a live mascot like LSU would give them more pride in Al. I think it would be pretty badass and elephants are easily trained so it could be brought on the field. How do y'all bama fans feel?

I'm sure there's probably more logistics behind it than "they're easily trained".

Do you not understand all that would have to be involved with trotting a fricking ELEPHANT onto a football field to run around?

Would be bad arse having an elephant on the sideline but is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

A buffalo is a wild animal. Elephants are easily domesticated in place like morocco and India. I think an African elephant would look extremely cool. Bama just need to hire a. Couple of vets, a trainer, and some carnies. I've ridden elephants at the circus and they are fairly tame. A live mascot would add to prestige and maybe help recruiting

Liability would skyrocket, especially with all the "people" that fill that stadium

Yeah and when it up and decides to trample the visiting team what are you gonna do? Shoot it with a rifle in front of 101,000 ppl and a national tv audience?

I'm pretty sure there is a rule/law against live mascots now unless you previously housed one on a constant basis.

Or if it decided to go full on retard and fly into the press box window, that wouldn't end well either.

A tiger would prolly just kill a few. An escaped elephant would just run over people and go where it wanted to.

Why buy when you could ask the fine folks at the Little Rock zoo to donate one.
