We made them go on the frontlines in world war 2 or something. I think we forced them to clean our latrines too but I'm not sure.

We weren’t cannon fodder. Generally aggy does what they are told and the military knew that.

Because the aggy always thought UT fans drank tea. IOW's teaships. It's B.S. but anything from aggy defies logic.

Short for Tea-sips. Tea sipping = snobbery, I believe.

Cuz everyone associated with TU was sitting in their hill country ranches, sipping tea, while TAMU singlehandedly won WW2.

Obviously, the truth is somewhere in the middle, but TAMU's pseudo military academy ambiance and TU and Austin's liberal cuckery make the story stick.

Wikipedia gets it right.
quote:

Tea-sip (or t-sip) A student of Texas A&M's archrival, The University of Texas at Austin. The term is intended to be derogatory (the origin being that while Aggies were off fighting wars, students of UT Austin were "sipping tea" at home).

Elitist pussies, basically. So not much has changed.

My Dad and everyone else that grew up in Texas always called them the Teasips because they thought they were better than everyone else especially the Aggies. They were and still are arrogant a$$e$.

This is the root of it. We had entire classes that went to war. We played at least a year of football with only a freshman class because of it.

tu liberals stayed home and sipped tea while A&M produced 20,000 officers, 14,000 of whom were commissioned, for the war against Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany.

Most notably, General Rudder, commanding officer of the Rangers who took Pointe du Hoc on D-Day.

I thought making the Horns symbol, if turned sideways resembled drinking from a tea cup….plus all the snobbery.
