It's not that we think we are better than we are, it's that we can be better than we are. We have built a winning culture in football with facilities that are constantly improving. We have the boosters to back us and recriuting base to keep us as a Top 25 power. Even without GP we have a program that is up and running and all we need is the right guy to steer the ship. Where as a program like SC has to be rebuilt. Mizzou is good not great but can be great. As far as being yanks, you might want to do some research and understand that MO was a state devided and the whole border war between KS was based on Mo Rebs burning down Lawerence, Ks (yanks).

South Carolinas last conference title: 1969

Missouris last conference title: 1969

Grats on winning some more games than us considering we spent 20 years as an independent. What's your excuse for not winning a conference title since then?

Good first post and welcome aboard. I agree, Mizzou has yet to reach it's full potential. We will never be a Bama, but we can be better than what we are now.

Quick advice: No need to explain the state of Missouri during the civil war era. It has been discussed here ad nauseam and most people have their minds made up.

We're not the ones creating topics with a false narrative.

Looks like trophy you'd get for winning the local country club golf tournament.

Yes I'm a South Carolina fan but you guys act like you're Florida or Tennesee. Get over yourselves. You'll be right in line in the pecking order where you belong.

Is that behind, or ahead, of South Carolina?

Honestly, most SEC fans aren't aware of this...at least the fans on this site. They always call Mizzou fans Yankees because they don't know history.

Someone needs to start a Civil War/Missouri thread with just the facts so that everyone here becomes more educated on why Mizzou is a great fit in the SEC.

Missouri has changed. Just like Virginia and North Carolina did. The liberals are invading so Missouri is in fact Yankee.

I knew what you posted before I clicked this thread. But srsly, when was Missouri's last conference title? Was it after we last won ours? I don't recall.

When did Missouri spend 20 years as an independent, also? These are logical variables to bring up in a comparison.

You base this on a few left wing activist professors (that you can find on any campus) and some mind numbed robot students? You don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Again, you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Most of that protest was by professional instigators bused in to cause havoc and stir shite up. It's what the BLM movement does.

Wrong. People in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa etc ARE NOT Yankees. They are Midwesterners. Even Ohioans are Midwesterners. And Rural Pennsylvanians are Not Yankees. The real Yankees are in the Northeast part of the country, and are basically descendants of people from the Mayflower and from Puritanical England back in the 1600 and 1700's. Some were forcefully converted to strict Protestantism when they arrived here. Basically what ISIS does to people these days in the Middle East. So if Northern Yankees have attitudes, and many do, it's partly because of their genetic make up and hot tempered personalities and cold Winter life they had to endure up there. As cold as Britain was, they didn't have the snow of Boston, NYC and Philadelphia and Connecticut.
