The fact remains that Texas ran on OU.

If you want to compare Texas to Bama then good luck

It's cute you think OU has a defense.

Shitty troll is shitty.

Because Ruffin has turned the defense around?

In their last 5 games, Oklahoma has given up the following points:

46
47
40
56
27 Points.

I see great improvement in the defense.

Oklahoma is 106th in passer rating against

Against 75-115 rated passer rating defenses we've done this (in 3 qtrs each game)

97. Tennessee - 306 yards, 10.6 YPA, 199.68 QB Rating
108. Ole Miss - 191 yards, 12.7 YPA, 224.29 QB Rating
112. Texas A&M - 387 yards, 12.9 YPA, 225.69 QB Rating
114. Arkansas - 334 yards, 25.7 YPA, 394.27 QB Rating
121. Louisville - 227 yards, 14.2 YPA, 235.43 QB Rating

Yea, I think we'll be ok

OU has allowed more yards in November than Bama did all last year.

OU's D has been worse than any defense they have faced.

OU has looked bad all season on defense. Like really bad

Now, they may be better with 30 days to prep and their interim DC able to finally make some adjustments. Sometimes different teams show up in bowl games (both good and bad)

The FACT remains that Texas ran on Mike, because Mike encouraged offenses to run the ball instead of throwing it. Just like he did in the Rose Bowl, and that obviously worked out for him.

In the final statistical rankings the closest team to OU that Bama played was Ole Miss. Top 10 in offense (OU was #1) and 121st in defense (OU was 108)

How'd that Bama v OM game go? Must have been a shoot-out

He made some positive changes, sure. We ran an entirely different defense against Texas. That's why Texas only ran for 88 yards on us the second go around.

In their last 5 games, Ruffin faced three top 20 offenses. Mike faced zero before he was fired.

Would put Bama at about 160 yards for the game.

I'll play. OU has already given up two 500+ yard passing games. Just so happens that they also gave up 165 and 139 yards rushing in those two games(both teams come in at #3 and #4 in passing offense...Bama is 7). OU won those two games by +1 and +3 points. The defenses involved in those two games...99 and 74 in total defense.

Against the run? That's not even laughable.

Texas

Yep. If OU had crushed Texas in their second game, you might have argued that the first OU-Tex meeting was a fluke. But that was a close game, and Alabama doesn't have about five or six glaring weaknesses that Texas tried to cover this year.

OU does not have the talent in the trenches to remotely slow Bamas run game no matter who the coach is.

OU couldn't stop my Grandma running the ball. Alabama actually runs the ball very well, but Tua can sling the rock. Going against OU, I would expect Saban and Enos to run the ball all day long, to keep Murray off the field

Think Army, with Army having WAY more talent. However, that last of all of CFB secondary ranking presents a Hell of a target for Tua and even Hurts. OU's DB's are even worse than their line, which is difficult

So many choices on how to score for Alabama.

That's because you're an idiot. Bama isn't a power running team. They're an air attack. Ball control isn't what they do.
Bama will run their normal offense like they have all season and rely on their defense to get enough stops because their defense is better than ours. Because of course that's what they're going to do. Because that's what they're designed to do, dipshit.

Why does everyone compare ole miss to Oklahoma when talking about opponents that Bama has played? Blows my mind. Oklahoma would beat ole miss by 30. And don’t give me that but they beat Texas tech who almost beat ou shite either. Transitive property doesn’t work in college football

Only because they haven't had to be.

Bama has one of the best offensive lines in the country, and three running backs that are capable of playing in the NFL.

You're telling me that with these tools, and the fact that until this year Bama has always been a power running team, that they are incapable of being a power running team when needed?

If you think Alabama cannot run a ball-control offense, you simply do not watch much football. But what else do you have to do in the trailer all day long? So maybe it's just the Meth messing with your head?

You might want to go back and review the Ole Miss/Tech game. What was the score of Tech/OU again? Enlighten me. All three of those teams have a good offense, with very little defense.

Tech actually plays the best defense of the three

Dude.....we're all aware of the talent Bama has amassed on it's roster. But this team is who you are and will be who you are going forward. It's built to put the onus on the OTHER teams to "keep up", not grinding them down with a power rushing attack or play "ball control". It's a complete script flip from the previous Bama model of offense.

Bama slowed themselves down in that game, they murdered them in the second half. Not like they lost to Troy.
