He’d jump at the chance to come coach in Provo

For the same reason Fulmer kept losing at Tenn before he was fired. Deboer is too loyal to his friends and incompetent coaches. Won't get rid of them and hire somebody better.

He's actually doing really well...the problem is he followed the GOAT. Bama is NEVER going to win like Saban did. In fact, nobody is ever going to put a dynasty together like that. NIL and the portal have changed the game.

The only problem is that spoiled Bama fans expect undefeated seasons every year and NCs every other year. That is never going to happen again anywhere.

He isn’t Saban, nobody was going to be able to keep Saban success going. You are still Bama but 2-4 losses is normal now. The closest thing to Saban is now at Indiana.

Bama's gonna need to cycle through two more coaches until they get another good run.

He is 6-4 over his last 10 games with 3 of the losses being by 2 or more scores. No matter who you follow at a traditional power, that will cause the wolves to come howling at the door.

True, but two of those were to UGA in the SECCG and Indiana in 2nd round of the playoffs. Personally, I hope he loses another 3-4 games this year. Bama fans struggling with just being another really good team. I can think of several top-level teams that would probably love to have him.

Everyone can hand out Chargers and suits now.

So, to be clear, you think Saban was paying players but the other schools weren’t?

Alabama was doing it for 17 years, but five-stars were going to Auburn, LSU, and Ohio State for free?

This may explain why you've had five straight losing seasons.

This is where I usually say "do you think we were bidding against ourselves?"

Looks like he just let one out, but he misjudged what it was.

Guess he's doing what the other coaches post-Stallings were doing.
