Uh no, Atlanta us home to more fortune 1000 companies than any metro in America not named New York or San Francisco. It’s long been the busiest Airport in the world…and it not because it’s a 3rd rate city it’s because consequential things happen there. There are world class universities and research hospitals there. It’s the 3rd largest film industry center in the US behind LA & New York. It’s a top 7 population MSA, and has more trees and green space than any other too 10 population city. It’s hosted the Olympics. It’s home to the CFB hall of fame.

Lol anyone arguing any city in Tennessee is better than Atlanta is a fricking retard of the highest order. Buckhead by itself is 10x better than the nicest part of Tennessee. All big cities have big problems like crime, infrastructure, etc but there isn’t a single decent city in Tennessee let alone a big city. Memphis is a literal shithole that smells like old French fries and farts when you cross the river and is home to some of the scum of the earth.

The current contract runs thru 2026 and likely will be renewed thru 2036. After 2036 there might be a rotation.

Having moved from Nashville to Atlanta and currently living close to Buckhead, I know both areas well. On avg houses in Belle Meade, Brentwood, and Franklin are larger and more expensive than houses in Buckhead. That being said I hope the game stays in Atlanta. Infrastructure in Nashville is terrible.

People love shitting on Atlanta on here and it's usually someone from either a shitty part of GA or some hellhole like Baton Rouge or NOLA.

Atlanta = central location for the southeast.
Missouri Texas and Oklahoma are not southeastern states. Plain and simple. Don’t like it? Shouldn’t have let the big 12 die. That conference was once comparable to the SEC.

West Tn is a different state for all intents and purposes. But east TN is superior to the Atlanta metro by every meaningful metric. The Knoxville metro has less crime, better public schools, better politicians (and we despite the mayor of Knoxville as an out of place liberal but at least she’s competent just misguided), taxes, etc.
When the country Balkanizes I want the northern areas above 575, part of northern SC, western NC and WV to join east tn in the state of Franklin part of the Appalachian republic.

The GDP of this proposed country would be roughly the same as Sudan. Hope Knoxville is ready to shoulder the load for paying for the food and medicine of everyone north of them. Asheville sure as hell ain't joining the Free State.
