Auburn is the biggest bunch of tit babies in the SEC. They haven't posted consecutive 10 win seasons but once, in the 80's, in their program history, but talk non stop about how their a premiere program. Show up in Athens on Friday and scream War Eagle and disappear by mid way through the third quarter Saturday and by Sunday talk about how they should be in the East or they're a basketball school. Auburn just needs to find a group of five conference or move to the ACC.

ACC?
I wouldn’t be completely opposed to moving to the ACC, actually. It could be a better fit culturally with some of the finest universities in the South such as Virginia, Duke, UNC, Georgia Tech, etc.
However,
A) Notre Dame would have to join the ACC 100% (this would be a requirement)
B) No major ACC football power would be allowed to replace Auburn in the SEC (Clemson)
C) Iron Bowl is protected
Football: Dividing ACC into ACC North (dominated by Notre Dame) and ACC South (dominated by Auburn and Clemson) could be beneficial longterm, esp since an inevitable clash between Texas and Alabama will likely destroy or at least destabilize the SEC anyways (worst case). Best case and still undesirable: Texas eventually becomes Alabama-West and these two programs (Texas and Alabama) will largely dictate SEC politics in the future.
