Probably a coping mechanism after seeing it all go to shite after 2019.

It used to feel like a point of pride, same reason I root for my highschool to win I guess. It's losing It's luster quickly tho. I root for the titans purely off state pride but it doesn't really upset me when they lose minus maybe the playoffs. I think the NIL deal is going to help my golf game tremendously. There are alot of not 100 degree days in texas I could be out there when I ultimately stop giving a shite.

The older you get the shorter you feel your time the more you start to prioritize what to get upset about. It’s old as time and everyone goes through it whether it’s sports related or whatever your bag is.

Just give all your money to NIL collective and sit back and enjoy 18-22 year old kids jacking you around and 40 years olds telling you, you are a bum for not supporting NIL like Oregon. What a deal!!!!

Just bringing some wisdom to the board.
None of the UGA football players give AF about you or your school.
Don't rage too much when they take the next L.
Maybe take your neglected puppy in the yard for a walk instead.

It's not unusual to have these questions as a Rice fan.

Low expectations is a blessing.

Seems more like a curse to me.

I have pride in my school and a team I played for back in the day. That’s why I care. It’s entertainment. Same reason I watch TV shows, movies, watch my kids sports, go to local events, parades, etc.
Live life and enjoy. Happy New Year to you and yours

It seems you need to believe this.

Fat, why do you care so much about others who care so much about CFB?
You must be very caring about others

I care about college football. I don’t allow it to determine my mood in everyday life. I don’t like it when LSU loses but I don’t allow it to ruin my week. Same goes with the Saints.

I used to, then I spent a shite ton of money to go to Indianapolis in 0 degree weather. It was fun to see Georgia win a National Championship. I'm not spending that much money again though.

Just responding to people responding to me. I'll forget about this thread by tomorrow.
I do care that I live in a country that places an abundance of value on meaningless things.
We are literally making 18 year old unproven HS QBs into millionaires overnight because of a childs game.
It's not a good societal trajectory, imo.

I almost feel bad for Bama fans.
Many of them don't know the true agony of defeat and think winning is easy.
Looks like they might get humbled.
Good for them.
