Why do some UF fans not see how good of a coach Mullen is?

I don't think any SEC coach besides Mullen could've rallied his team to come back and nearly beat Bama. Mullen took our DC and entire defensive staff to the woodshed.

Mullen is a great coach that has a tendency to make things unnecessarily difficult seemingly because he wants everyone to know how great he is

When you can coach like Mullen that more than makes up for being an ace recruiter.

I think all fans do stuff like that. He is a stubborn coach who doesn’t like to change. Whether it’s staff or players. It seems as if he has a superiority complex.

He did great with what he had. Did you see stats before the game tho? Mainly Richardson

I think a lot of people get annoyed with his demeanor and tolerance of clear subpar staff members. The prob is the guy is such a stud OC that he makes up for his teams glaring deficiencies in both defensive coaching and recruiting. I’m not a big Mullen fan but I think we all agree there isn’t some viable option of a new hire we would trade him for.

This is his 4th year at UF, 15th or so overall and has won nothing.
He singlehandedly lost the LSU game last year.

No, it doesn’t. He’s a perennial 9-10 win coach. The gap between them & UGA will be lightyears by the time Mullen gets fired from Florida.

I have to agree. I’m hard on coaches as a fan but I can see the year to year improvement. We are literally a QB away now and that QB is on the bench learning. The strength and conditioning is outstanding. We have no off the field issues really which is amazing. We are close. We were the closest to Bama last year, and got closer early this year. Eventually that final hurdle has to be met but it’s a healthy product now.

Yes. That team. You know I’m not wrong. You watched what happened down the stretch last year. He spent the entire offseason preparing for this game tonight and couldn’t get it done. He won’t be within two scores of UGA for the rest of his time there.

There's no gap between UF and UGA besides coaching and UF has UGA beat in that category. What has UGA won? Recruiting championships don't count for shite.
