thank about it, this 1 guy has 5 out of the last 10 or so national titles.
he's an aloof guy, robotic, does not seem like somebody who would be great at recruiter.
how is he able to get all these 5 stars from out of state to go to a small city in Alabama.
Dabo not going to move from his mansion on a clear water lake near the mountains to go back to a mill town in flat alabama. lol

Probably because they have cheated for so long and gotten away with it, with the exception of Pat "no pants" Dye's early 1990 probation. But then again, it could be because all other SEC schools envy Auburn's incredible Swine Research Center. Or it could not.

It's not that Auburn is especially dirty compared to other programs. It's the fact that so many Auburn people drink the Kool Ade when it comes to the idea that the Auburn athletic department and school are above any shenanigans or institutional cheating because you guys recite and live by some pseudo religious creed. Your assertion that Auburn hasn't been on probation is a perfect example. You can't even fess up to major NCAA violations that derailed one of the only 2 decent runs in your basketball program's history. The best basketball team in your history was busted for major violations in the early 2000s and lost schollies but you brush over it like it's nothing and stick to the predictable clean for 20+ years theme. :/

Fair enough but you could say the EXACT SAME THING when comparing Auburn and Alabama academically. Alabama fans are notorious for bringing up Auburn's SEC leading number of probation whike the fact that Alabama has nearly caught up in that department in the last 20+ years alone. Likewise, Auburn fans like to act (whether seriously or not) like Auburn is the Harvard of the South while Alabama is little more than a below average trade school with a degree not worth the paper it's written on. So...in other words, it goes both ways...lol

You, like many of my Auburn friends get it and it's refreshing to hear an Auburn fan acknowledge the obvious. My only point is that Auburn is no different than most big time programs when it comes to "playing the game" and you guys do it as well and as intelligently as anyone.
Totally agree that they should be paid. It could be done and highly regulated AND successful if Title IX wasn't such an issue. Not to mention all the other male student athletes from the other revenue (and even non revenue) sports wanting to be compensated as well.
