This deserved a thread

Except you know when he lost to Georgia already

LSU's own AD agreed with the move to not allow him to coach.
Saban didn't even allow him to coach as OC when he got the FAU job.
LSU fans are just retarded.

Yes. Ole Miss was at a disadvantage with Kiffin as compared to Golding.

Someone on here mentioned several times today that he hates Keith Carter for how he treated Lane.

Why do LSU fans care so much that Kiffin didn’t get to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs?
The narrative from Ole Miss was carefully crafted to paint LSU in the worst possible light when, in fact, it was OM leadership playing petty politics and rage-bating the rest of the CFB world into crapping on us.
So, to answer your question: we started caring when you guys shot yourselves in the crotch then tried to blame us.

You would have likely had a National Championship. But you let your pride get in the way. Now you will never have one. Damn….

Must be hard to come so close to relevancy and have it slip away in an instant.

We don’t. He’s here. Deal with it and move on instead of living in the past.

Based on what? If lane truly thought he could have won the national championship last year he would not have left. I know lsu is a better job, but winning a national championship at ole Miss would have cemented his legacy. Winning a championship at lsu puts you in the same breath as Ed O and Les miles.
Lane did not think last years team would make it passed the first round. I would bet everything I have. Now, if we had him in that Miami game is there a chance we win, absolutely. There's also a chance he would have lost the uga game. And I say that if he was 100% committed to ole Miss. What I do know is if he was trying to coach ole Miss while recruiting players to lsu and focused on the 2026 lsu team, we would not have had that playoff run and everyone would have publicly blasted Keith Carter. There are plenty of rational lsu fans that know this was not possible and that lane's ultimate focus would have been on lsu. The unreasonable idiots on here with the spare time for 10s of thousands or 100k+ posts on here that argue we should have kept him or he would have won if we let him are just incapable of understanding logic and reason.
