They get huge exposure. Lets talk about how much it costs regular companies to advertise. These kids are all over. I dont know Bob that works in Marketing for Budlight, but Ill know my 3rd string QB and where he is from.
As someone else pointed out, advertised for what? What benefit does that quarterback reap from this alleged advertising?
Also, you don’t know your favorite team’s 3rd string quarterback because of “advertising”. You know him because you’re obsessed with your favorite team. If you were obsessed with Bud Light you might know Bob is in marketing. You’d also be a stalker but that’s another story.
This whole idea that scholarships, stipends, etc. are pay is ironic since the NCAA has argued the exact opposite to the Federal Trade Commission for literally decades. Once those scholarships become pay these kids are eligible for all sorts of benefits.

So they are basically pushing the agenda on social media where they also flash huge stacks of cash during recruiting and after NSD, take pics perched up on expensive cars, amd sport their new bad arse threads & footwear?

So out of perhaps 15,000 D1 FB and Basketball players how many are on "social media" demanding they get paid??
"Social Media" GTFO with that silly BS.

Got a problem?
It's just the same old off-season threads that hit the board every season. College players aren't getting paid until they reach professional status.

Quite a bit. Pay attention next time the NCAA announces how much money they made, how much a sponsorship pays, a school releases their revenue, etc.

What exactly does a "bit" mean? 100?200?1,000?10,000?
Are they forming a union? Are they marching?
Is there a website you can link?

When I see the countries 5* player's go public, grant interviews and discuss their burning desire to "get paid", then go on to explain why they feel they are so deserving, then the subject may get some real traction. Until then, this topic is nothing a simmering stew that gets stirred every year in the lull of the off-season.

They should do it like baseball and let them go pro or commit for 3 years. I don't think they should keep them form making money but if you allow them to really get PAID then the little guy is going to get nothing.

Like who?The vast majority I see or hear about at least
in CFB don't post or have press conferences stating what you just quoted them as saying. But are you saying
they don't deserve what they get when they turn pro?

I agree with you but I think the problem is when people make profit off that player

Yep. Well said, IMO.
Student has his body invested that may be worth little outside the opportunity. Ttey are given every chance to develop their minds. The school has millions invested to offer the student a chance to better himself.
Most fans wouldn't pay
$.50 to see Cam Newton at his high school throwing the football around with a bunch of unknown local kids. I d pay money to watch Justin Thomas practice at the University golf course since I might benefit from practically from the observation.
Watching Jalen run around or Tua throw a bomb or two wouldn't benefit me at all unless it was at Bryant Denny or some other multimillion dollar NCAA facility against a worthy opponent on a Saturday in fall.

Poor poor academically inept teens who can run fast and jump high are given access to an education well beyond what they deserve in exchange for playing a game they love..oh the horror.
