Striving for approval from Arkansas....story of AUs fans lives...

I have been an Auburn fan since 1970. Been to the LSU AU 1994 Interception game. Several UGA AU games and a handful of other games. I feel no need for other fan acceptance for my team and our coach. I have rather enjoyed the past couple of decades. 1993, 2004, 2010 and this year stand out. I root for my team. Loved it when we beat bammerville 6 straight times. 28-27 bammmerville chockage stand out also. Butthurt is no way to live life. Punt bama Punt!...Kick bama Kick! Now onto the BCS Championship game!

Keep in mind that Auburn will always be overshadowed by Bama. Sucks to be second fiddle in your own state but maybe that has something to do with it.
What I can't understand is why is everyone so high on Auburn and Malzahn now? They deserve credit for playing tough down the stretch but they didn't dominate their schedule by any stretch and they needed a miracle or 2 to get where they are.
Malzahn may very well end up being a good HC but he has no track record at this level yet to judge him by. Let the man string together a few seasons with continued success before anointing him the next big thing.
.................................................
Check the payout that they had to give Chizik because he had a miracle year and the Auburn crowd thought that he was the "second coming". Remember this: It's very easy to sell folks on something that they really want anyway.
In a couple of years ol' Gus will have him a house next door to Gene in Auburn, and they'll both be trying to find a good hobby to occupy their time.

I've never seen a fan base so consumed with why some people may not like their coach.
Do Alabama fans care if you like Saban? No, they could give two rips.
Do LSU fans care if you like Miles? No, he is their retard and could care less if you like his antics or not.
Do aTm fans care if you like Sumlin and the fact he hasn't won any championships? No, he is their $5 mil piece of arse and could give a shite what you think.
Do Ole Miss fans care if you like Freeze? He'll no! He is their high school coach that's taking them to the promised land

It happens when you're permanently relegated to little brother status.
Look at the last two weeks - they won the IB & the conference & are going to the BCSNGC - and all anyone talked about was Mack Brown and Saban.
Imagine going through life with no one giving a shite about you. Even when you're at your best, they're more interested in your big brother. They're the Neal Bush of college football.

Damn, 6 pages. Not bad. I'm assuming most posts are by Aubbies saying something to the extent of you dumb, or it was a meraculious turnaround, or you mad, or some other low brow put down.

So it must be nice to finally stop paying Shula his millions, huh?

My yard got TPed by Aub friends after the 2010 BCS champ game. It would never have occurred to me to do that to them after 09, 11 or 12. But they were all "Daddy look at me! love me! please see how awesome we are!"

Keep telling yourself this... repeat it often, because deep down your fear is showing....

Because bama fans are too respectful to do that, right?
