Dude has been saying for over a week that he had personally spoken to multiple power 5 coaches and other “big names” who wanted to come to Knoxville. He also has been saying that everyone knows Tennessee is a sleeping giant.

Heard him yesterday on Jox out of the Ham and the guy is totally delusional as far as the 10RC HC spot. He had folks crawling to K-ville for that gig. It is clear nobody wanted the job at this time.

He would’ve hired Chadwell at the very least. 100% a better AD than White.

Would have The Hill renamed to White Flight. Can't keep politics out of sports. He's as bad as the Mothership he can't quit accusing of the same thing.

I remember him talking the same stuff last time there was a vacancy.

The name that did not come up this time, it came up the last three times there has been a vacancy, is Chucky. Gruden's name never surfaced this time, at least I don't think it did.

Clay has a major douche streak and it get really inflamed when he starts talking about UT. He tries to wish things into existence instead of talking facts. That program is still reeling from his little Schiano insurrection from 3 years ago.

Clay Travis is a more educated Cowherd. Too much maybe. Someone prove this wrong.

Tenn is not a sleeping giant
In the 90's they were able to cherrypick players from all over.
Tenn is not a hotbed for talent and once the well dried up in LA and GA and then Bama came along their recruiting pipeline dried up.

Clay doesn’t know shite. He needed his arse kicked for the shenanigans he pulled in the previous search running off Schiano.

Tenner deserves every bit of this.

The Tennessee of the 90s most definitely took advantage of a down Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and LSU.

Absolutely! I could not believe how many guys they used to get out of Georgia back in the '90s. When Richt came on board that fortune started to change. Right now they don't get many out of Georgia that Kirby is after.
