Texas is simply a screwed up university.
They were let in so they can be abused across the entire SEC while also giving us a revenue boost or that is the hope.
Can't wait as Texas fans have ZERO clue about what's coming. One thing there will be? TEARS.

Wait a minute. The Republican Party is rife with anti-Semitism. Remember the "Jews will not replace us" rally and all the "Jews are out to get us" conspiracy theories hatched by Q believers, including "Jewish space lasers" alleged my Moscow Marge?
There's only one group many Republicans dislike more than Jews: Arabs.
As for me, I don't hate any one group of people, but I hate violence committed by any of them. I hate Hamas and other terrorist groups like them who preach hatred of Jews and Israelis in particular, of course.
But I also hate the Netanyahu government and its mass murder of Palestinian civilians in response. Killing tens of thousands and destroying Gaza in response to the killing of 100+ Israelis is borderline genocide.
Hating the Israeli government is not an anti-Semitic viewpoint, it is pinpoint criticism of particular Israeli Jewish leaders.
And I do not defend campus protests that graduate that viewpoint into hating Jews in general. But I do defend their right to protest what the Israeli government is doing.
Now, why did the SEC let Texas in? It's always about the money and in this case geography as well. It's not insane expansion like the Big Ten adding those 4 Pac 12 schools.

In the last two decades, Texas has won a national title, played for another, finished in the top 3 several times, won multiple conference titles and played in a few more of those as well. And that’s just football.
amazing! Now you get the easiest schedule in the SEC for the next two years. You better not blow it.

silly boy. Doesn’t understand the difference between an SEC game and an SEC schedule.

Real answer?
Texas was not staying a dying Big12, it was only a matter of which conference we were going to. The Pac chose the suicide route instead of expansion, the B1G (at the time) claimed they were good with what they already had, and to some degree they were right...but only if all other conferences didnt expand. So that leaves ACC and SEC. The ACC wasn't (and still isn't) in any better shape than the Big 12 (arguably worse now) so that only leaves one option. Guess what that option was?

For the most part these aren't sports fans. Stadium is mostly filled with working, pro American, pro capitalist, conservative types.
Unwashed liberal hippy and LGBTQ are not very representted at sports events. Like most campuses there is a divide.
I agree with you within teason, however .... UTa is waaaaay more liberal, as an academic institution, than all other SEC schools with the possible exception of Vandy.
For those claiming we should put our heads in the sand and avoid talking about how political agendas that pervades certain universities that drivel over into sports .... they can go pound a handful of sand up their liberal progressive rectums. Speaking from a position of experience as a fan and supporter of The UofSC for the past 60+ years who is now having to come to grips with Dawn Staley .... we're working on her, she's coming around but it's going to take time. She's willing.
UTa is not willing. It keeps going further down the hole ... and I have four cousins who are UTa alumni all in their 60s and 70s, one in his 80s, who are not happy campers. There is no effort to thwart the libtards at UTa. The city and campus now reek of liberalism and its cancerous deterioration. And no honest Longhorns fan will deny this.
I've attended games there since the 60s .... the place now has issues.
With that stated .... Texas is a good add at this time. We should all remain more loyal to our A&M friends .... Never Ever take sides against A&M, NEVER side with Texas. UTa is a cancer on every level. A once great and proud institution is now run by some seriously fricked up libtards to their core and they absolutely will have a negative effect on this conference before all is said and done UNLESS we force their good fans and alumni to fight back and come up to our level .... we absolutely NEVER go down to theirs.
Any dumbass cocksucker that believes NCAA Sports is not a political entity, a political beast, and that sports success doesn't drive enrollment every bit as much as claimed academic prowess ..... well, when you read someone implying that correlating politics with sports is sonehow unhealthy .... the dumb fricking shithooks need look no further than every sport and every activist movement in our country today from fricktard Kempernick to Dumbass LeBrown to Megan Lickahoe to Stephan Furry to BLM kneeling to trannie Title IX destruction to etc., etc., etc.
I hate a fricking self-righteous sanctimonious hypocritical POS worse than anything .... and they're everywhere these days. Look back in this thread. If you see someone chastising someone else for bringing politics into this discussion .... picture and hear that posting mumbling those words irl. Because that cuck poster definitely has a dick in his mouth.
Nothing worse than a pious sports fan frickatard who considers himself morally superior and virtuous to the rest of us .... we used-to stomp mudholes in them back in the 60s, 70s and 80s .... now they spew their cum soured breath all over us these days.
UTa will ruin the SEC in the long run. They're like worms, parasites, that infect everything they touch. Again, we'd be better as a conference fanbase to force them to come up to our lever ..... never ever go down to theirs or they will use their experience down there to decay us within a couple of decades.
And we should not allow them to sling shite incessantly at A&M fans around here. A&M is part of the family. UTa, for now at least, is our bitch that has to earn its way in over time like the rest of us.
Until then, frick the libtards at UTa. If they don't like it then they can make someone clean up their own shitty bunch of entitled socialist communist marxist anti-Israel pro-NWO assclowns.
With that said ... most of their football fans are fairly cool, although haughty and entitled, but some of them will be fun to tailgate with. Others will have to suffer the wrath .... they'll find being assclowns makes for tough sledding on the road in the SEC.

Too much brain power in this response. Quite out of place on this site. You're only supposed to respond with insults and low iq remarks.

Snakey wanted his favorite team in the conference. He did what he felt was necessary to get them in.
