Don't know. Don't care. Why do you care?

Green bay started using the logo in 1961 and Georgia and Grambling started using theirs in 1964 and 1965, I believe, so it was hardly iconic at the time.
For what its worth, they are different, though.

Also, the original Green Bay Logo "G" did not have the yellow stripe that goes around the outline of the "G" similar to georgia's, so the case could be made that green Bay copied a part of Georgia's logo.

History by a Packers fan who hates Georgia

That's like saying you didn't plagiarize because you rearranged the sentence structure.

No. It's like saying it is different. That is unless you think Green bay owns the rights to the letter "G". Pretty sure that isn't the case.

So you believe that green bay owns the letter "G", huh? Seems like an odd stance considering the Green bay and Georgia logos are worth millions. Seems like if they had an inkling that it infringed on their copyright they would sue. But then you already knew this, right?

Please tell me you already realized this.

Unless something has changed since college in the 90s, you can't copyright a letter in a font. Not in the way that it is being discussed in this thread.

All other characteristics of the design (color, border, etc..), absolutely.

The G might as will stand for "Generic". Your uniforms are plain and boring.

Maybe. But according to this article Georgia has one of the best uniforms in the country and Auburn's is.....unranked. Wow.

Probably did not go like you thought, huh?

Exactly. And ours is different from Green bays.

Huh? Green Bay owns the emblem like David Bowie owns “ice, Ice Baby!”

So is Bowie’s and Vanilla’s?

Yet, history proves otherwise. Too cold...too cold.

’ve heard this logo is popular with the kids. Wouldn’t this look so much better on a helmet?

Pretty original too, other than the fact it’s a bulldog

Seriously. We hate that logo.

Well this is a very serious topic. Somehow it sparked 6 pages of "discussion" and all I wanted was just a brief explanation so I could be less ignorant of the Bulldoggie ways.

Musical infringement is actually a joke.

As if the bulk of music is true ,"woke up in the middle of the night with inspiration for this song".

Jokes aside, there are lawsuits for pussies who don't get it.

If it were the blues, there would be only 3 songs ever created.
Punk... 2 songs, maybe.

Led Zeppelin would have stayed studio musicians forever.

I laugh every time a musician sues for infringement. It amuses me.

Yep, and there was a suit for their brand. There has not been a suit between Georgia and Green bay. Thanks for making my point!

No it doesn't. There has not been a suit. That alone tells you they are different.....but surely you can see the difference with your own eyes. If not then try to use common sense.

Nah.

Somehow I am not surprised.

You are turning into the LSU version of Bowl Jackson.
