Whoa. I might despise Alabama, but at least they have earned their status. Texas is Lesser Auburn with a Dollar General version of Cam Newton QB winning them a single one-off title in the last 40 plus years.

I feel like the AP voters are treating the poll now like the CFP rankings, starting over each week and looking at the entire body of work. In the past if you were No. 1 and won, very rarely would you get jumped. They're caught up in the hype of the game and who they beat. I do think Georgia is better than Michigan and would beat them on neutral field. That said, UT boat raced Michigan at their house, Bama was at home.

When the 2 best teams play each other so early in the season that is rarified air for even the pollsters to consider. The winner had to go to the head of the class. Any year. Ohio State's schedule is ridiculous. They must have contributed heavily to the B1G fund for homeless Commissioners.

Funny bc texass fans cry over the #1 spot. Bama fans don’t want it. Doesn’t mean shite in week 6. Elite teams know it. Texas’s is not elite.
