Just a daily reminder to the Rant that this is what you signed up for when you let these assholes into the conference.

AP was trying to sync up the team with the #1 Heisman contender.

It probably boiled down to win quality.
Apparently the AP concluded that Bama's win over #2 Georgia was a better win than Texas over #10 Michigan.
Also, Georgia had boat raced #15 Clemson 34 to 3.
Meanwhile, Michigan squeaked by #11 USC and unranked Minnesota.

Because they have the most impressive win of the year so far. That's really not debatable.

No, it is not. Because Alabama was working with a patchwork offensive line in that game.

Alabama doesn’t have the depth to keep up with USF? SEC grind isn’t going to be kind to you then.

Shorthorns vs Miss State - 14-6 at the half. Stop before you scare everyone.

Because it only took a week of Texas being in 1st place to remember why everybody hates Texas.

If you think Milroe isn't dreaming
Of redemption, think again. On a neutral field, Bama wins. Too
Much speed.

Personally, I'd rather be 3 or 4. Especially with more playoff games

I don't know that I'd call it "desperation mode". Texas, Ole Miss & Tennessee need to worry about what might've been unlocked within Georgia in the loss in Tuscaloosa.

First test is to see how we handle Auburn.

Alabama does run the SEC and we need to be quiet and let on-field performance determine if we can compete. Texas hasn't done much in 15 years. If we are for real, time will tell. We're trending in the right direction, but this conference demands consistent toughness. Texas hasn't demonstrated that quality for many years.
