It’s a board littered with a ton of bottom of the barrel LSU fans. Go ask any of their decent fans. Only the worst of the worst post here and there’s a lot of them. Probably 2 or 3 to 1 compared to the other fan bases combined.

It doesn’t take a bottom of the barrel LSU fan to see that Jake Mangum sat down on the field before his career was over.

No need to lash out at us. The guy quit.

We all saw it.

Mangum was worn out from dragging his nuts all over Antoine in the battle for the SEC hits record

The runner got a good read - knew it would get down.

Had Mangum threw to home he would have beaned the coaches shaking hands.

Well see, that makes him quitting much more reasonable.

OP has never played any sport in his life. A base runner has never slipped between 3rd and home? A base runner has never missed 3rd base? A base runner has never missed touching home, especially in a celebration? All were possibilities as Jake sat in right center watching a quarterfinal CWS game unfold through blurred tears.

I have to agree here. Anything can happen, so you finish the play no matter how unlikely the chance of victory. I don’t like this new trend where people just concede the game because they see no chance to win.

Edit: Not trying to bash Mangum or State. And if the runner had already crossed the plate then sure no need to throw and hit people shaking hands. But the video makes it look like he sat down before the runner crossed home.

All the baws in here who thought it was cool to frick with one of the greatest baseball players in SEC history right after his last game ended in a walk off are something else.

I mean I am all for a little frickery (and that rain cloud was pretty funny, I admit) but you got to show a little respect to get a little respect.

I have never understood why people like to kick a man when he is down. Just say good game and wait a day before you dig in. Or even an hour.

OK rant over, now give it to me with both barrels. I'm ready beeches.

I’d say Jake was the best slap hitter in SEC history, but Florida had some chicks who were better.

Give out underhanded compliments if you must, but I can guarantee you if any other SEC programs could add a player to their team from another SEC team, he wold be at or near the top of most lists.

And LSU fans sound pretty damn salty considering he beat out Duplantis for the SEC hits title.
