He ended his career on his back with his glove over his face and the ball at his feet as the winning run walked home. At least Antoine had the composure to field the ball and hurl it towards home.

He tripped trying to field it or couldn’t glove it correctly. Wouldn’t have mattered catcher would have dropped it like the last dime he received.

He went down trying to field it. Momentum was moving away from the play and the runner was rounding third. There was no play.
And as soon as Mendoza hit that ball into right field, the game was over. Antoine "hurled it" halfway up the third base line where Garza caught it just shortly after Martin had finished his post game interviews.

Idk, I was wondering the same thing. He just gave up. You never know if the guy could miss the bag on his way home, or fall down on his way home. You don't just give up on the final play of your season and career like that. What a piece of shite. I would be questioning that if I was a gm in the MLB. That's not a good look.

Hey, didn't lsu beat state 2 out of 3 this season anyway? With the worst team lsu has fielded in a while, and the best team state has trotted out there in a while? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you serious? Watch the play the guy is rounding third before Jake even gets to the ball. He would have been halfway home before the hall is even in his hand. It was over and if you know anything at all about baseball you would have known that as soon as it left the bat.
