Imagine if LSU could recruit how more embarrassing it would have been. Mercy knee inside the 5. Pussy schedule didn’t prepare Clemson for LSU’s toughness.

Your state borders Texas - which has arguably produced the best qbs the past 15 years.

Matt Flynn is from TX. He didn't put up great numbers at LSU bc of our wacked out OC/HC combination but he won the BCS game and had some big games in the pros ( made even bigger bucks) so I'd call that a success

seems like Les Miles had an ingrained scheme mismatch.

He was stuck on a conservative prostyle, running offense, but for whatever reason he chased the mobile dual threat guys.
Even a generic guy like Etling was a better fit than the guys he'd recruit... for the system he ran. He wanted guys with big arms, that could run; and then stuck them in a system they weren't used to.

That's always been the case with Elmer Fudd.. I mean Miles. He tried to run the same offense at Oklahoma State with Donovan Woods, who made it to the pros... As a LB

Your #1 QB overthrew his WRs all night then fumbled the ball to seal the game for LSU.

As bad as everyone loves to bang on Miles, there were times he did us proud.

How could anyone not love that glorious LSU-Oregon game in 2011? All that talk about Oregon's tempo, and Miles unleashed the HUNH toss dive on their asses? Forced them to call timeout after the 3rd run in a row, and I honestly think that game was over right then and there. I really think the Oregon coach sent a message over, saying "OK you won, please don't do that again".

So I guess that makes Clemson the new Johny come lately new money to success. LSU has won 3 titles since 2000 (second in D1 behind Bama) with 3 different coaches. LSU has the better overall more consistent and proven success-sustaining program in the last 20 years.
