The instate situation wasn't always like it is now and
Mark Richt stopped recruiting in 2010.

Given the inherent advantages you cited in your post, UGA should have 5 NCs for every one that a team like Clemson has. On a very good year, the state of SC might produce 20% of the talent that the state of Georgia produces, and Clemson and UofSC often split the in-state prospects. Georgia, OTOH, has no competition to speak of from GT for their in-state talent.
UGA could never recruit beyond their state lines and have more NCs than Clemson -if their program achieved its potential.

If the NCAA had balls, they would make sure to have Nolan Smith claim how he could afford such a truck when his family has no wealth.
The boosters in Georgia are next level. I'm thinking Kirby got the tactics from Saban, since Alabama has been doing this for years.

1) I never went to the UGA board. I asked here. I appreciated the feedback.
2) I did go to Athens. It just didn't live up to the expectations that UGA fans have put in place.
3) You sound butthurt that we're exposing your coach's recruiting tactics.

The NCAA will never have balls. This has been proven time and time again. It’s not that much of a risk to cheat your arse off. Even Ole Miss got an essential slap on the wrist.

If UGA was in the ACC, we would have played for more national titles. Whether we would have won, who knows? But, you are right. UGA has underachieved and Clemson has overachieved.

How do you know this?

He doesn't, and it is not true. He just assumes it because the kid is black.

Easy answer, poor coaching ruins great talent.
Kirby = Zook = Richt = Muschamp

I'm sure that's the case but want to see him attempt to talk around it.

>Mullen. Sure is great that he can find a way to get blown out by such poor coaching 2 years in a row.

Now you are pretending to know the families financial situation? Terrible.

If you knew anything about football you would realize that the biggest difference in UF and UG right now is depth. This situation is being corrected.

Sounds like you guys know his family financials. Please tell us what they are, then.
Are his parents Doctors? Is his supposed "uncle" a doctor?
~60k for a 18-year old would require quite the salary for the parents.

Maybe we did buy Nolan Smith the truck. I don’t really give a shite if we did, as any other program has the same opportunities to do so and most of them do, but it’s already been discussed that Nolan Smith’s parents are doctors so maybe they wanted to reward their kid for receiving a free ride to college.
Either way, Florida fans acting all high and mighty about recruiting is pathetic considering Urban Meyer was your coach less than ten years ago.

I don't know specifics but am not making any assumptions either way. You are, though.

Not necessarily if he had a college savings fund with college now being free.

I already said I am not going to pretend to know such details, as you are doing.

Yes, Florida is getting more talent in than they previously had. But we’re also adding on to our talent. Gap is closing, but it’s not close to equal (yet).

But y'all said we always recruited great under richt. Hence why we always do less with more talent.

I agree.
Superior coaching will help close the gap faster.
