let's just take LSU out of this discussion for a minute
There is pretty much zero chance arky can pass alabama in the bcs or even any component of the bcs. teh verbiage out of the media types has been every type of excuse for how they should have beaten LSU and are the best team in the country
Barring an Alabama loss to Auburn they are not getting dropped in the opinion polls (relative to Arkansas) and they are far enough ahead of Arkansas in the computers they are not getting passed by Arkansas in that either
Arkansas could beat LSU this Friday and still get shut out of the BCS. In fact, if they beat LSU that is a near certainty that they will

A report by the American Society of Civil Engineers claims that "New Orleans is subsiding (sinking)"
Thank God!

Thank God!

Without knowing how the human voters will cast their ballots, how can you say anything with certainty. If the votes split in the following way, can you say with certainty Arkansas would be kept out?
% of 1st place votes:
Bsma - 56.67%
Ark - 33.33%
LSU - 10%
% of 2nd place votes:
Ark - 50%
LSU - 25%
Bsms - 25%
% of 3rd place votes:
LSU - 65%
Bama - 18.33%
Ark - 16.67%

Do yall honestly think the #3 team would stay at #3 after a win @ #1 and with #1, #2, and #3 all ending with the same record? From my perspective, those who believe Arkansas would stay @ #3 are the delusional ones.
The ONLY scenario that could possibly allow for the team with the best resume at the end of the 2011 regular season which includes (best record vs best SOS) to not play for any championship would be for the voters to penalize that team with the best resume for losing on 11/25/11 instead of 9/24/11.
What would trump (11-1 vs Best SOS)?

Exactly. And if, if we beat LSU, then what dies that mean? All this "body of work" talk is BS. It is Last Man Standing.

I've watched Arkansas barely escape by the skins of their balls against Texas A&M, Vandy, and Ole Miss. Meanwhile LSU has blown out everyone they have played minus Alabama who blew out Arky.

So do the humans. Still waiting for an answer as to what your signature win was.........

near certainty not absolute... you don't need to exaggerate my statement when it was already a very strong one

If Arky beats LSU in a close game you can expect a variety of opinions with Alabama, Arky, and LSU all getting votes from 1-3 in the human opinion polls. My bias is in that situation the voters will mostly push Bama to #1 but there will be some who reach for either Arky or LSU in that spot instead. Because the computers will continue to favor LSU over Bama and Arky at least (Ok State is the only one who might pass LSU in the computers if LSU lost to Arky and OkS beats OU the following week) LSU will almost certainly back into the SEC CCG in that scenario
Obviously this would not be true if LSU lost to Arky and Bama lost to Auburn - then Arky goes to teh SEC CCG with the tiebreaker over LSU.

Simple reason and way the human voters, 2/3rd of the BCS will advance Arkasnas past Bama with a decent win in Red Stick:
Bama scored three field goals and no offensive TD's against LSU.
If Arkansas' offense is clicking and they beat LSU with multiple TOUCHDOWNS, on the road... at RED STICK. Arkansas moves up.
I know this will hurt Brad Edward's va-jay jay, but it's how the world works.
Hell he's been wrong about Arkansas for the last several weeks, no need for him to be right now.
