Nor have I ever even referenced the Kelly incident until this very moment, yet across this entire thread you imply that I have when you say blanket shite like this

It looks like you didn't read the title of said thread.

Implicated by the media? Oh hell yeah Brian Kelly was implicated.

So was Brandon Miller.

I wasn't responding to "the title of the thread" you weirdo. I was responding to the words that I quoted. Shall I place them here again? Would that help you?

Also, can you address this accusation you made to imjustafatkid:

quote:

you've posted multiple times about "Kelly killing a kid," prior to today.

Can you provide links to him doing that? This isn't my hill to die on, I don't know that poster and perhaps he did say that. But he said he doesn't recall doing it so I'd like to see who is telling the truth.

Beyond that, I will just add that if you don't have any links showing he said those words, I will refer you to some words once written by a very hypocritical, very lacking in self-awareness poster:

quote:

It's wild how they will outright lie then attempt to project that behavior on everyone else.

Yes, but Brandon miller wasn't found responsible for anything.

Notre Dame as a whole was found responsible and the President said "We" are all responsible. That Includes Kelly.

He was the head football coach and he is responsible for the safety of the people at his practice and what occurs there. Whether you want to admit it or not. He wasn't the only one, but he was one of them.

An allegation is an allegation.

The claims against Brandon Miller are allegations as well, nothing has been proven.

I've been pretty consistent in stating that, unlike some folks.

The head football coach is responsible for his staff and his players, that's it.

The head football coach has no direct authority or responsibility over other university employees outside of the football program.

You can't blame the fire chief for something a police officer did because they both work for the same municipality.

Regardless, the fact that Notre Dame kept Kelly in their employ for several years after the incident speaks volumes about how much responsibility Kelly really bore. Thus it was not an issue at all when LSU came calling.

It was a tragic accident and not even the first in college football involving scissor lifts albeit the first death that I know of. Notre Dame stopped using scissor lifts and made a campaign to educate other schools about the risks.

Every thread about Miller on this board has featured one main argument from those that want him charged:
Brandon Miller's decision to pick up his friend led to the death of a young woman.

By that same reasoning, Brian Kelly's decision to practice outside in poor weather conditions led to the death of a student.

Not sure how you can skate around that.

I completely agree with you.

Anyone who is supporting one statement and not the other is a hypocrite.
