Cristobal is 25-9 at a P5 school with several top 3 recruiting classes

Why did y’all settle for Leach?

I wouldn't say we settled. We offered Napier (turned us down) and Sark (almost got the job)

Went with a proven P5 winner and a Pioneer in the air raid. At least our hire was safe lmao

You are counting this year when Washington pulled out of the Championship game?

Oregon 2019
Oregon 2020

Two P5 championships in 3 seasons.

He averaged 10 wins a year.........so your math doesn't add up. Harsin was 69-19 in 7 seasons at Boise.

Yep, sorry. 2.71 losses per year on average including this year. 3+ losses in 4 of his 6 full seasons. 2 losses this year in 7 games.

Could've just stopped here.

Why does Auburn still have fans? Much better question

That is Cristobal's record at Oregon. Again, he has had one good year. The other two years were nothing impressive.

Leach beat him by 2 TD's. lol

Lost to Auburn

Lost to Oregon St. and Cal

Until you consider the program he took over had lost 18 games in the 3 years prior to his arrival...

You seem really bent out of shape about this hire for some goddamn unknown reason

So you think Mario is a better HC than Harsin?

I think San Jose State HC would've been a better hired than Harsin. Didn't San Jose State beat BSU earlier this year?

Most people wonder that about the doormat of the SEC West, Arkansas.

It amazes me how just a week ago when Cristobal's name came up for the Auburn job.........."please hire him. He would be over-matched in the SEC. He can recruit but he can't coach" was the rallying cry of tRant.

Now he would have been the best hire.

I don’t think anyone has said that. He would have almost certainly been the best hire of the “available” candidates, though. You know, since Urban decided to back out or something.

Hey, you don't have to convince me, Cristobal is a great HC. I think he will do big things at UO, especially now that he's gotten them to make a long-term commitment to him.

That said, in their only meeting, Harsin's Broncs beat Cristobal's Ducks straight up.

Yeah, Mario was only the interim, having taken over from Willie Taggart after he left for F$U, but it's the only head-to-head we have to go on.

GTF out with that shite. A few Auburn fans said they wanted him, but nobody with an ounce of sense thought it was a possibility. At least one of those people is a known alter wearing Auburn colors.

And most people (the rest of CFB outside of the few Auburn fans remaining) agrees that the very doormat you speak of beat your team this year

Good stuff when Arkansas and Piss St are dogging your new hire.

Idk man, you spent several posts arguing with me that Auburn is a better job than Texas, which is why Urban would be more likely to take the Auburn job.

Boise State was the Bama of the MWC. Harsin had a large talent advantage over the rest of the conference because of what Petersen had built. That definitely isn't going to be the case in the SEC (huge influx of transfers via portal incoming), so we will see ...

I'm glad they didn't hire Freeze or Napier
