Do you think it would be successful?

If I had these players I’d try it.

QB - Cam Newton 6’5” 245
RB - Herschel Walker 6’1” 225 world class sprinter.
RB - Adrian Peterson 6’1” 220 no slouch either.
TE - D.J. Williams

Run the wishbone or the veer. Sometimes recently teams have used variations out of the I formation.

Wishbone Jones QB
Hillis. FB
DMac. HB
Jones. HB
The backfield that has it all. Great speed, size, athletic ability.

A big mobile QB to dink and dunk and keep the defense honest. I’m not sure if even that would work for a season. You’d have to play ball control to minimize some of the new offenses and the way they score these days.

I do think that if you had the discipline on Offense you could sure give teams fits if you busted that out to open the 3rd quarter or something. Don’t just run a few plays but a good 2-3 possessions.

There were times in 2009-2010 and again in 2014-2015 that I legitimately thought LSU should have gone to this.

09-10:
QB: Jefferson
FB: Ridley
HBs: Scott, Williams, Murphy
-incorporate jet sweeps/reverses to Holliday/Shepard

14-15:
QB: Jennings/Harris
FB: Darrell Williams
HBs: Fournette, Guice, Hilliard, Magee
-incorporate jet sweeps/reverses to Dupre/Dural/Chark

Well. It is all make believe and what ifs. But it is a bit over kill.

If I was a defensive coordinator I’d be like wtf!! Even worse would be trying to tackle them some bitches if you catch them.

Game to game, yes. During he playoffs when teams have time to prep, no.

Bama would have had a really good wishbone set in 2016 with Hurts and a combo of Jacobs, Harris and Scarborough.

But, no.

I just thought it was funny the way you worded it is all.

You list tGOAT Dual Threat QB, 2 of the top 4 college RBs of all time, and TE who won the Mackey Award and you're just like "I mean, I guess I'd give it a shot"
