I'll take the wishbone with Vince Young at Qb Emmett Smith at fullback and Hershell Walker and Bo Jackson.

I assume you're talking about Jamelle Holieway, and this is the correct answer. Phenomenal wishbone qb.

I know this is about players but I would be fascinated to see Vandy run the triple option and see how it does vs SEC athletes. Probably not well, but would still like to see it

Denard Robinson would've been an amazing triple option QB

You could line him up at RB in that formation too, and he can catch a few balls

People have really forgotten about ole Shoelace, but man he was electric running the ball. It'd be perfect for him since he wouldn't have to throw much

Imagine the trickeration you could come up with lining him up back there with another guy or two that can line up at multiple positions like a Matt Jones or even a Nick Marshall or Cam Newton

Cam has had a ton of injuries and Herschel is 58, I can’t see your 4 working out today :)

QB - Frazier easily and all other answers are bad answers
RB - Bo Jackson

This.

There is so much more to being good at the triple option than just being athletic. There is a precision needed (just like most offenses).

Any list with a QB other than Frazier is wrong.

I like the Alstott type at B Back, but you could use any larger back (Gurley, Bettis, Okoye)

tGOAT Dual Threat QB

If so, he spelled Lamar Jackson wrong.

If we are going all time and not team or conference specific, best dual threat wishbone QBs to me would be:

QB: L. Jackson

Dual threat Honorable mentions: V. Young; Mike Vick, Newton, Steve Young, Tebow, and maybe RGIII if not a durability risk.

Note: lots of great option QBs like Frazier or Pat White, but I think any of the above would have had more success running those offenses given their truer DUAL threat natures. Personally, I think Nick Marshall may even be a better option as a dual threat.

Matt Jones if he isn't in the back alley cutting up credit cards and snorting coke.

LSU could run it in the second half for all games in 2020, using the backups

Wishbone QBs take a beating on every play. Cam's scared to cover a fumble in the Super Bowl.

The backfield that has it all. Great speed, size, athletic ability.

We were one year off from this happening. Arkansas may have actually won the SEC if their playing days even overlapped by one season. No one would have been able to stop that offense back then.

Jalen Hurts at QB

Derrick Henry at A back (FB)
Herschel at one B back (HB)
Bo Jackson at the other B back (HB)

Henry Ruggs or Ja'Marr Chase at split end.
OJ Howard or Ozzie Newsome at TE.

Bama would have had a really good wishbone set in 2016 with Hurts and a combo of Jacobs, Harris and Scarborough.

Hurts was awful at the read option. He just can't process information quickly enough to make the correct read often enough. It was obvious he had determined before the snap whether he was going to keep/hand it off.

Dark horse: Lance McIlhenny of the SMU Pony Express. Dude could run the option.
