Since the '98 signing class every LSU signee that stayed at least four years has left with an SEC championship ring on their finger.

Can anyother SEC school make a similar claim??

Every single player Nick Saban has signed since becoming a head coach in the SEC has won a National Championship if they stayed all 4 years.

I'd play for Miles... He hasn't stockpiled talent the way Saban has so you're pretty much guaranteed to see the field earlier.. Plus, a RS is pretty much out of the question... Plenty of holes in an LSU depth chart.

I'd play for Saban because it would suit my personality better. I would need to be pushed really hard to get the best out of me.

I see your point.

IMHO, there is more to collegiate football than just playing the game. You mature at that age and really need someone to look up to. That being said, I would pick Miles because he seems more of a personal guy that could care for you and help with personal problems. Saban strikes me as the guy that would help you, but really wouldn't invest is time in you. I guess my opinion is unfair, because I know some of Miles' family and they are extremely nice and down to earth. The food, atmosphere, and all around buzz is much better at LSU than Bama IMO.

I would play for the system and college that fit, if I'm a rush defensive end well most likely I am not going to fit in a 3-4 scheme. Both are great coaches and believe both do care for players but in different ways. Saban is smart enough to know yelling all the time doesn't motivate and Miles that playing nice either. Both just choose different venues to show the other side.

Of course, look at high profile players drafted from Bama during Sabans tenure and where they are on the depth chart. That is if they are even still in the league.

So your answer is Miles?

The Tigers have more wins than any other team in the conference during his tenure.

All while coaching in the golden age of the toughest conference in college football

Saban, because I like highly organized, structured things. Not saying that Miles is unorganized, but the whole "process" thing really appeals to me. This is assuming the depth charts are comparable of course. I would choose being able to contribute over coaching preferences. Of all SEC schools, I'd probably go to Vandy or Georgia (If I were a top prospect). If A&M weren't in college station and so weird, they'd be up there too.

I'm curious to know, how much actual "personal time" do folks think the head coach of a place like Bama/LSU have to spend with their players "one on one"?????

Seriously, with all of the responsibilities and obligations that fall on these coaches.... Does anyone really believe that they are able to invest personal time with a player, to help them with various personal problems?

Les "appears" to be an easy-going, comical, laid back, friendly kinda guy. Nick "appears" to be a rigid, OCD, cold, impersonal, unfriendly, strictly buisness kinda guy. Both win at the highest level of college football and provide stability, consistancy, and a solid foundation for any young player.

So you're saying that Alabama always has the best players? Do the other posters agree with this? If it's correct, which team would you rather be on?

like I said yu got stats to back up your opinion. A bust is someone who is a stud who hit rock bottom. So far only Ro fits that description. Telling me a 7th round QB who lasted 3 years and is now out of the game is not a bust. Waiting on facts and not your opinions or what you and your drinking coon asses feel.
