I get that he has done great stuff at Mississippi and it shows even more now with how Moorhead did last season
Wait...what? Moorhead had the best first season ever for an MSU head coach, and his 8 regular season wins was bested by Mullen only once, in 2014. And Moorhead just pulled in a better recruiting class than Mullen ever did at State. How has Moorhead's performance made Mullen look better???

+1 my friend
Glad both arguments can be seen and no bitching here.

You can make that argument, but with 7 draft picks, and not reaching 10 wins last year show that he will decline. Even look at the throttling you took by Iowa in your bowl game. Your players did not care and that will show their loss this season.
Recruiting is improving with State in general, you need to thank Mullen for that and the players who just got drafted. This is where I will give Mullen credit because he brought you guys up from where you were. Also, dont forget about the teams that you have beaten - like Arkansas - which has endured some of its worst football while MSU has had some of its best.
I can go on more, but hopefully you see the point here and again, that is where I believe Mullen should get credit.

Coach O recruits better and consistently fields a better product that Mullen, but neither has a winning record vs the SEC.
Here's the problem for Mullen (other than the fact that he's mediocre as hell): the gap between UGA and UF is widening, not shrinking, and Saban ain't a vampire. He'll will have to retire eventually. LSU will have a real chance to get one then.

Ok.
Oh, btw, that Iowa team that “throttled us”
wasn’t some bullshite team like Arkansas. They had plenty of talent.
MSU and Moorhead will be fine....and when Ark gets back to normal, we will still beat that arse.
Mullen will not beat Kirby when it counts.
Coach O, if he keeps momentum going, will coach at LSU until the swamp donkeys return to the bayou. As long as he wants.
So I say O.
But not until LNS retires

Lol you just got triggered for no reason man. Im not here to flame and I have pointed out many stats here with my last few posts.

I’m just replying. Not every reply is a “trigger”
I replied with my stats as well.
I was just pointing out that Moorhead will not lose momentum.
Well all know Croom got the ball rolling with AD

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. We had 5 NFL draft picks, and 4 of them were on defense. The defense was, statistically, the #1 defense in the country (I think Clemson's D was better, but MSU had the numbers) I don't know how you correlate 5 NFL draft picks to meaning anything less than 10 wins is a failure...that is just some random number you guessed at.
I give Mullen plenty of credit for what he did...I already did that in this very thread. Our AD convinced the money people to give Mullen everything he asked for, and to his credit he was somewhat successful with that backing. Had he crashed and burned, our money guys might have gone back to trying to do things their way.
I just think Mullen had his own limitations, and that Moorhead is poised to exceed those. This season, we will drop off a little because Mullen's recruiting was so poor from 2016 and 2017. If Mullen were still our coach, we would be looking at 6-6 for the up coming season. I think Moorhead can do better than that.
And I personally don't consider a 5 point loss, in which the potential game winning TD was dropped, a "throttling". We should have won, and the team had a very undisciplined 2nd quarter, but I hardly see that one game as a harbinger of problems down the road. It was a bowl game.

Coach O will destroy Florida this year and next. The shrimp boat captain has got a championship on his mind and nothing is stopping him, not Mullen, Saban or any fool that steps on the field with O and company. SEC should be very scared of the team O is building, he’s got vengeance on his mind from the embarrassment he displayed at ole miss. He’ll never let that happen again.

Please stop, you’re only setting yourself up for disappointment.

Check the recruiting rankings, we’ve already won that battle. The first piece is in place.

That was never a debate numb nut. You basically tried to trash Mullen, I provided facts on what he did for your poor, desperate program

Guess it has to be Mullen since Orgeron can't beat Bama. Stats don't lie.

I can think of 6-13 reasons why you're wrong.

Mullen for sure . He has an easier path and he is a better coach .
